Had a reserved a spot but pulled in to several open sites and snagged one instead. Beautiful area, Camp host was very friendly and helpful. We pulled a 35 ft fifth wheel with a F350- long bed and had no problem backing in. Saw a ton of moose and deer. Great fishing. Had touch and go service with starlink.
Tarrah would stay here again

I visited in the shoulder season (after Labor Day) and had hoped to camp in one of the dozens of dispersed campsites in the area but all sites were taken so I ended up at Tie Flume as a last resort.
For a basic forest service camp, the $18/night fee is a little steep. I suppose the long trek up/down Highway 14 for the trash service is the largest contributor to the price. There was no camp host on duty during my visit but there is a site reserved for a host in the peak summer months. The host (when available) sells firewood bundles. Also, after Labor Day the FS closes the righthand (reservable) loop (sites 1-13) and camping is limited to the first come - first served sites in the lefthand loop (sites 14-27). The camp was nearly full when I stayed and I got one of the last 3 open sites when I arrived at about 3 pm on a Friday.
Each site has a gravel parking pad (most are sloped) and a newer table and fire ring. Some sites had a charcoal grill stand too. Two vault toilets and two water pumps are located in camp but are not very centrally located. Trash dumpsters are located near the camp entrance as well. Generators are allowed but campers are asked to observe quiet hours at night.
The road from the highway is washboarded and very dusty. As you enter/exit the highway mind the angle you're approaching the turn. The FS road is sloped uphill and several trailers had already dug large grooves into the pavement as the hitches bottomed out. There is a lot of ATV traffic in the area so noise and dust during the day can be an issue. The Tongue River behind camp provided a little background noise but not enough to mask the traffic noise. Beautiful area with lots of wildlife (there was a cow moose hanging out by the river) and while I will return to camp again I will always try for a dispersed site before resorting to the campgrounds due to the steep price.

Loop one is shaded and the sites are large and mostly level. Loop 2 the sites are smaller with a river and valley view with a great sunrise. My longbed truck and 33 ft 5th wheel fit in loop 2. The fishing was great. The bathrooms were clean. Some washboard coming in. It was a short drive. Nice hike to see what was left of the Flumes.
