It costs 28$ a night for 30/50 amps. The cowboy Trail begins right here and goes all the way to Valentine. There is also fishing in a pond and the Elkhorn river is right next to the park. It is located on the outskirts of Norfork, Nebraska with a lot of dining choices.

Arrived at 8 pm, backed into a $26.88 site with electric hookups. Lacked bathrooms, making it suitable for an overnight stay. Overall, a convenient and budget-friendly option for a short winter stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in mid April 2023. The sites are an ok sized and there is plenty of room to maneuver and back into sites. We stayed for 3 nights in mid April 2023. The sites are an ok sized and there is plenty of room to maneuver and back into sites. We were in a 25ft Class C, but there was a 40+ ft class A that stayed and was able to get backed in with no issues. For us, I feel we would be too close to our neighbors, had someone been beside us. Electrical is 30 or 50 amp at the back of the site. There is a picnic table and fire ring with grill, also at the back of the site. It's like they are set up to "live" at the back of each site. I guess this is efficient, as they get more sites in, but is not so great to RV living.
We tried 6 different sites (all paved) and all of them were unlevel very unlevel. The electrical worked fine. There are no other hook ups.
There is a bathroom/shower house, which is clean, but dirty. Like, the inside and seat of the toilets were clean, but there was a thick layer of dirt on the tank lid. There was water on the floor, I think leaking from the back wall. There was were some debris & bugs on the floor, but it wasn't gross or excessive. I couldn't bring myself to use the showers. I'm very particular about my showers, so if they are not very clean, I just use my rig's shower. The soap dispenser and toilet paper were kept well stocked and the TP wasn't the cheapest thing out there, so that was nice.
There is a lot of road noise and engine braking heard all night.
The sites are situated between a creek and a lagoon. There were ducks and geese around all the time. It seems to be a good fishing spot, as we saw much fishing taking place, even on the weekdays that we stayed. It seems the locals use it as a place to just stop and sit in their vehicles for a bit (perhaps on breaks lunch breaks).
There are two playground areas that I saw. The one closest to the campground is older with just two or three structures (swings & a climbing structure & something else). There is a more modern and large play area, but it is a bit away from the campground.
I would stay here again, if I needed a place to stop on the way through, but I don't think I would enjoy it as a place to stay for a longer period of time again, largely due to the noise and closeness of neighbors.
I am thankful that the city has a city park campground and that they take reservations on-line. I did call the city a couple times in regards to my reservation, and they were always very pleasant to deal with.

Stayed one night. Might be one of the nicest city campground we’ve ever stayed at. Trees for shade, concrete pads and 30 and 50 amp electric. Everything was very clean and well groomed. Bathrooms were the typical campground bathrooms. Loved that it was right next to the Cowboy Trail. Only downside is got mostly 3G service through AT&T.

We got a great night’s sleep here after a long day of travel. Beautiful, old elm and cottonwood trees provide tons of shade and the cement pads make set up/ leveling a breeze. We were in town for a business meeting and were pleasantly surprised by the dining options in town, too!
