the dump station is behind the visitors center.. the roads are one way so not able to use both sides of the dump station. Water at Rutgers campground we tested at 75 TDS and 7 grains hardness at the dump it tested at 115 TDA and 7 grains. fill up was quick. easy to find across from the gas station and past the Entry Port... more

easy to find across from the gas station and past the Entry Port for truckers. watch sign and keep to the left at the curve.

Easy access to this dump station at the rest area right off the freeway. Dump had non-potable water for rinsing with threaded hose. Also was potable water to fill tank.

This is a great dump option! It's easy in and out (just don't accidentally go to the Port of Entry like I did). It's free, spacious, and there are big dumpsters for trash, which was fantastic because we had just come from boondocking at Badlands so we needed all of that!! They have water too!

We stopped by here on our way to our camping location N of Sundance in the Black Hills National Forest. The water pressure at the potable water station is outstanding. We stopped by here on our way to our camping location N of Sundance in the Black Hills National Forest. The water pressure at the potable water station is outstanding. Keep a hold of the hose end when you turn it on or it'll get ya all wet. I think we filled our 50 gallon tank in about a half a second. There are two opposing dump lanes so it doesn't hurt to look ahead and see if someone is in the lane you think you want. We filled up going in and dumped on the way out. If you are coming in from the south (New Castle area), you can take the back roads into the rest area off of the highway. It saves time and you don't have to get on the interstate to get there.
