OK, a few things here... As stated back in 2018, the road in is a bit long and narrow. We have a 23' class C so it wasn't a problem, but if you have a large diesel pusher or 35' 5th wheel I might think twice. We camped in early April and were the only ones there! It was incredibly quiet,,, actually to quiet. ha ha almost no T Mobile or Verizon coverage which left us feeling a bit uneasy being out in the 'middle of nowhere'. Pit toilets were very clean, grass was cut, picnic table and fire rings were all very nice. The beach, down the road a bit, was actually fairly busy for a weeknight in early April. The next morning I talked with a local who was walking the trails taking photos of the spring flowers. She said the place is safe, quiet and a local gem. $20 was put in an envelope at the entrance to the park, which also had a nice brochure talking about the park features and a good quality hiking map. Dump station was very nice and simple to pull into/out of.
Steve would stay here again

We stopped here for one night in our 35’ motorhome and the road my GPS wanted us to take (Dutch Creek) was a NO so we drove further down 690 to East Scatter Ridge and came in that way. The campground has about 70 sites with drinking water spigots about every 100 yards on the even-numbered side of the road. Most sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. There is also a dump station by the campground entrance (which is on the opposite side of Stroud’s Run Road from the beach/boat ramp). The campground is nice and very quiet but the 8+ mile road in was very winding and very narrow - no shoulder - wouldn’t do that again. We came on the first Sunday in July and there were 3 other sites occupied. There are pit toilets which we didn’t use. All sites are back-in.
