This campground was great for us since it wasn't packed and very peaceful. We liked how there was publix right around the corner 2 minutes away and Walmart was only about 12 minutes away. The street is definitely loud if you stay in the first row of premium, but other than that, we have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our time ... more
This campground was great for us since it wasn't packed and very peaceful. We liked how there was publix right around the corner 2 minutes away and Walmart was only about 12 minutes away.
The street is definitely loud if you stay in the first row of premium, but other than that, we have no complaints and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Southern Palms.
Lake Eustis is beautiful at sunrise, and I highly recommend checking it out!

The staff was very pleasant. It was very thoughtful to escort me across the street and help get my rig situated on the site. It is unfortunate the County Road running through the middle of the campground was more of a heavily traveled highway and main thoroughfare than a county road. We stayed in the wrong part of the campground and... more
The staff was very pleasant. It was very thoughtful to escort me across the street and help get my rig situated on the site. It is unfortunate the County Road running through the middle of the campground was more of a heavily traveled highway and main thoroughfare than a county road. We stayed in the wrong part of the campground and all of the amenities were across the busy street. The tallest wall legally permitted should be built between the campground and that road. I would rather face a large, blank wall than be subjected to tractor-trailer rigs engine braking, high wattage subwoofers thumping through all hours and motorcycles driving loudly by with stereos designed to loudly overcome the engine noise. If there were a system with guidelines on qualifying to use the term Resort in a business name, this street alone would disqualify the campground. I certainly do not consider any of the first row sites on this street to be premium or elite and I would not pay $10 a night to stay on any of them again.

We stayed here for three months that turned into 100 days. We would definitely return! Friendly people, Clean showers and bathrooms, swimming pool and hot tub, activities (both at the campground and adjacent park)! Great areas to walk our four legged camper! Sites are grass, large, level. We hooked up to cable with a modem for WiFi.
After our stay we would not hesitate to stay at another Encore Park!
