If you want to Boondock at a nice established site near Page this is the spot. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon with our 36’ fifth wheel. Other reviews said to stay to the right at the fork for better roads, but all of the bigger sites on that side were full. We found a big site on the left side of the fork without having to go too far. The rocks that stick out of the road are big and sometimes sharp so go slow and avoid the ones you can. We did get a bit of run burn on our tires coming in that I show in my pics, but nothing worse.
The views are beautiful. Cell signal is decent, and it’s nice & quiet. You can fill out water at Lees Ferry campground about 15 minutes away. The Chevron nearby also has a spigot for potable water. The attendant didn’t charge for filling a few gallons, but probably would if you filled your tank here.

What a beautiful place to camp, you're surrounded by the Vermilion cliffs. Take a hike to see the Colorado River , explore the Navajo Bridge and stop by Lees Ferry...all within 15 minutes ❤️
We like to go the the right as the road to the left isn't for low clearence vehicles.. so rough!

Drive as far as you can to get the best spots closer to the canyon. It’s worth it. We were just passing through to visit the national parks. We are definitely coming back. Woke up the next morning to a beautiful view with no neighbors. We had our generator to fire up the AC in August heat.

Astonishing views of the canyon. Took the left fork at the recommendation of the locals. Was fairly rough & rocky but worth it to have a spot right next to the canyon for NYE. Had all the solitude we could want & good signal with Verizon & ATT. Quite windy.

Multiple excellent flat sites. On dry roads, we had no trouble rolling in on right fork in road in our Winnebago Solis. Fairly rocky, but very navigable if you have good clearance. Wide open skies, amazing canyon access. Great spot.

This is not exactly a big rig friendly location, but if you are a bit adventurous, it’s worth the effort to get in. As other commenters have noted, bearing left at the fork requires a very capable vehicle. Even though it’s VERY bumpy in a lot of places, we could have taken our 43 foot diesel pusher out there, were it not for the dips in the road, which would absolutely have caused us to plow the underside of our front bumper into the ground. Absolutely not possible for a large motorhome. But if you have a smaller rig, the left fork leads to some stunning sites that overlook the canyon, directly on the edge of it. We split right at the fork, and slowly and carefully worked our way the 1 mile out to the end. We drove our tow car out in front of the motorhome, and got out to watch in a couple of spots were there were dips in the road. But we have enough front clearance to make it, and just dragged our mudflap a couple of times coming out of the dips. If you have a large RV with very little ground clearance, you will almost certainly have to stay in one of the first couple of sites along the road. It’s also rocky and bumpy, so taking it slow is required. There were very few people around during our late October stay, and we enjoyed some of the darkest skies and greatest peace and quiet we have experienced anywhere. We have both a PepWave router with a Parsec Husky roof antenna, and a WeBoost. With those we were able to have satisfactory AT&T connectivity. We also have access to other networks, but none worked as well. Without a booster, we’d suggest that this may not be a good place for someone who absolutely must be online. For anyone wanting an awesome and isolated location with absolute darkness and peace and quiet, getting into this place is worth the effort for a stay of a few days or more. The sites overlooking the canyon on the left fork were so stunning, it made us think about selling our diesel pusher to get something smaller, like the Class B rigs we saw out there.

Cell service near get worst as you go further in. I got barely 1 bar with my Verizon phone, but my T-Mobile hotspot got nothing. With my WeBoost on, I get a couple more bars with Verizon, but the internet was slow but usable and the only streaming service I could get working was Youtube. T-Mobile hotspot still got nothing with the WeBoost.

We spent a good amount of time off-roading and hiking in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument and all around Page. We also enjoyed picking fruit in the orchards at Lee's Ferry. I would definitely recommend heading down the road to the left at the fork (without your RV - on foot or mountain bike) and checking out Marble Canyon, which is actually the edge of the Grand Canyon.

We spent our first ever night of boondocking here in our 2020 4x4 Sprinter. There was only one other camper van about a mile away in this entire huge place. The views were stunning and it was very quiet. Since there was no cell signal, we had a hard time finding the entrance (the gate) to this place at night. So, first lesson learnt: arrive during daylight to your intended boondocking site. The only way we’ve found this place in total darkness was looking for mile post 545 using the LED light bars mounted on our roof rack. The road was mostly flat and accessible by 2WD, though a higher clearance is helpful.
