“Prime Fall Location”

The perfect campground for leaf peepers during the fall foliage! The campground itself is simple. The sites are grass and have full hook ups. There’s not much amenity wise, there’s restrooms and a large grass field for disc golf. They do not have a dog park but if your dog is well behaved, the owner is fine with them being off leash as long as you can control the pup.
There might not be many amenities but the location is awesome!! You are five minutes from Smugglers Notch which is a fall bucket list must and about 20 minutes from Stowe.
The campground owner, Will, is one of the best owners we have interacted with. He is so friendly and provides a list of the best places to visit and try while you’re there. He also made a self guided bridge tour so guest can explore without having to research where to go.
There is a camp dog, Maple, who is the sweetest and best behaved Golden Retriever! Expect a visit from him at your site with a tennis ball or a stick!
If you’re looking for luxury, has every amenity possible, glamping….this campground is not for you. But if you’re looking to have views, prime fall foliage location, an owner and camp hosts who care about their guest….then this is definitely the campground for you!!

This is a new park with very enthusiastic and nice owner, Will. Price listed is average, we payed $69 for weeknights and $79 for a weekend night. The park is in an open field surrounded by forest off VT-108 just north of Smuggler's Notch - do pay attention to the warnings on the park's website about not approaching the park on VT-108 from the south! There is some modest road noise during the day, almost zero noise at night.
There was a smaller percentage of seasonal campers than other parks we've stayed at in VT, at least in this first season of operation, everyone we met at the park was nice and friendly. We had a deluxe pull-through site with full hookups (as all sites have), it had good width/spacing from the adjacent sites and adequate length for our 31' trailer plus tow vehicle. Leveling was a bit of a challenge - it seemed like there may have been some settling in this first season where the utility lines had been buried - Will plans off-season work to address this throughout the park and helped us get level with several 2x8 boards under our standard leveling setup. In most sites the sewer hookup is all the way to the rear - our 20' of dump hose could not reach the main dump connector in the middle of our trailer - we had to wait until hitched up at checkout when we could move the trailer back a bit to make the hose reach. Wasn't a big deal for our 4-night stay but for a longer stay we would have needed another 10' section of hose. Water/electric hookups were fine, and the bath house has toilets and showers. WiFi was great! There are multiple access points throughout the park and the system is intelligently implemented to limit each device to a reasonable bandwidth (about 5mbps down and 1mbps up) which prevents just a few users from hogging all the bandwidth. We were able to stream shows no problem even at peak hours in the evening, and perform cloud backups overnight.
Will was extremely enthusiastic and helpful giving us tips on biking, hiking, and driving tours. He sent a great google maps route with stops at a number of covered bridges and driving on quiet country roads through the fall colors. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is just a few minutes drive away - we parked at the end of Old Man Street in Jeffersonville and really enjoyed our bike ride. Smuggler's Notch is just minutes from the park in the other direction, the town of Stowe not much further. Will also has plenty of dining recommendations and a few discount coupons to hand out as well.
Normally I'd give less than 5 stars given the few issues with our site mentioned above, but Will's friendliness and helpfulness combined with the park's unusually good WiFi and fantastic location did make it a 5-star experience overall. Thanks for a great stay Will!
