Overall Rating
We were here for only one night and didn't spend a lot of time at the campground. Our site had a good size and there was good spacing between sites but offered no privacy. Our site was not particularly level. We had 3 bars of Verizon 5G and 16 TV Channels. It was fairly quiet when we were there.

We came from the Wisconsin side and two roads were flooded out. They had road closed signs up. We had to take hickory hallow street. Online it said the site was 49 feet, but approximately only 35 feet was flat gravel for parking. That was fine for us. Everything else was fantastic. We were super close to the beach at site 42. We came from the Wisconsin side and two roads were flooded out. They had road closed signs up. We had to take hickory hallow street. Online it said the site was 49 feet, but approximately only 35 feet was flat gravel for parking. That was fine for us. Everything else was fantastic. We were super close to the beach at site 42. Had bathrooms with showers and a hot water station outside the bathrooms. Electric hookups, table and campfire ring at all sites. The woods twinkled from all the fire flies. Playground for kids and beach area.

Price reflects NPS Lifetime Sr. Pass for an accessible, FHU site. (Last site available to reserve.) Campground is on Coralville Lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and not far from Iowa City or Cedar Rapids for everything you’d need. Very popular/busy on the weekend but noise wasn’t a problem. Price reflects NPS Lifetime Sr. Pass for an accessible, FHU site. (Last site available to reserve.) Campground is on Coralville Lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and not far from Iowa City or Cedar Rapids for everything you’d need. Very popular/busy on the weekend but noise wasn’t a problem. Frequent park ranger presence. Our site was paved and level but other sites of various sizes were gravel. Lots of green space and shade trees depending on site. Bathrooms were clean, showers roomy and with awesome water pressure, except temp was pre-set and almost too hot for me. Decent cell service with both AT&T and Verizon LTE. Hosts were available and friendly.
