Make sure to bring groceries because there really aren't any good groceries stores
around.
Also, the phone number on the website doesn't go directly to the campground it goes to the owners mom who doesn't check her phone often. So, if you need to get a hold of the management on site email them. :)

Being not familiar with the area, I chose this park based on the reviews. They were great over the phone, especially when I asked about getting here, Google Maps said to take Hwy 14 from Hwy 15 but it looked sketchy and she told me not to take it, to take hwy 20, which was much better. The park is nice, nothing fancy, which was just fine. When we checked in Nicole was so helpful and loaded me up with all kinds of brochures and information about visiting the area, I just wished we had more time to do stay and explore. Hooks up were fine, need a water pressure regulator. Wi-Fi was decent and cell coverage (T-mobile) was fine. The park was peaceful and reminds me of an old ranch in a beautiful setting. Space was pretty level, did have to raise up one side a little. The wind can be strong here, so they warn you not to put out your awnings. Come prepared because the closest town is small and about 15 miles away. Great location, about midway between Zion and Bryce, but there is so much more to see. Bryce Canyon is about 40+ minutes away but the drive to get there is absolutely gorgeous. Hwy 12 is listed as a scenic byway and is worth the drive. During our short stay we did Red Canyons (on the way to Bryce), Bryce Canyon, Mossy Cave (nice hike), and Kodachrome State Park. We will have to come back to do more.

To run around after a long ride. This was our favorite campground out of the 7 we visited on our road trip!

Nice park convenient to Bryce (30 mins). FHU 50 amp pull thru. Utilities located in the middle of the site. Park is well run and well maintained. Grounds were clean and tidy. If you need a place near Bryce and the surrounding area this is a good one. Best wifi I can remember. Streamed flawlessly.

This is a great private campground in range of a number of parks and trails. The campground is divided into two main sections. The top section (where we stayed) has about two dozen big rig-friendly full hookup sites. All the sites are gravel, fairly level, and are wide: after the super narrow sites we had at our last two campgrounds, having lots of space between us and our neighbors was a relief. The top section is also home to the office, a recreation room, a bathhouse, a play area (with a swing set, basketball hoop, and horseshoe pits), and a communal grill area.
The bottom section is laid out in a semi-circle that hugs the Sevier River. The southern end of this section has water and electric hookups for RVs that back up to the river’s edge. The rest of the area is for tent camping or boondocking (some of the tent sites did have water). In the middle of the semi-circle is a wide-open field with a single teepee that visitors can camp in. While there is no fenced-in dog park, that field plus the perimeter of the campground provides a lot of space to walk your dogs.
The cell service was decent. I couldn’t get a consistent speed test reading with my Verizon Jetpack hotspot and MIMO antenna - the day we set up I saw between 10 and 50Mbps down and between 4Mbps and 12Mbps up - but I had no trouble working online and we streamed TV with rarely any stutters. Meanwhile, my AT&T cellphone was getting 26Mbps down and 3Mbps up.
Even though the campground was nearly full every night of our three week stay, it was very quiet: there’s a little road noise but it wasn’t noticeable. And with Hatch being a small town, you can see a lot of stars at night.
At the front of the short road leading into the campground is a building that houses a small convenience store that serves ice cream and a Mexican restaurant. But if you need actual groceries, you’ll have to drive 15 minutes north to Panguitch for a local grocery store, or an hour down to Cedar City for a Walmart. There is a Sinclair station in Hatch that can refill propane tanks, but when we were there the sole employee was still waiting on their certification to work the propane (as a fallback, there are places to refill propane in Panguitch).

We were there 16 days and didn't feel like we even scratched the surface of things that could be done in the area. The lots are large and you have a nice area to walk that isn't on the highway. We would definitely go back! There is a laundry mat available and a little convenance store that sells sandwiches and ice cream at the top of the hill. You look out at the red rocks and the sunrises and moonrises are very pretty. There is some noise from the highway above but it didn't bother us.

Pull-throughs are long and very spacious. Good park WiFi.
Staff workers were actively pulling out weeds and raking gravel; you can tell they really care about the place.
Close to Panguitch for every day needs (15 min), Red Canyon (15 min), and Bryce Canyon National Park (25 min).

We scheduled reservations for 3 nights. First vacation with family since retireing from a long military career. When we arrived, they didn't have our reservations. When I showed the manager Jan Gabbard my reservation she stated she didn't know what happened but that it wasn't thier fault. I then asked, reservations are a business process correct? She agreed. I then stated thank you. It is your issue not mine. She told me it was our problem not thirs. I think since I stood up to management (Jan) at check in they decided to target my family. Twice the maintenance man yelled at family members to slow down (10 MPH posted) while driving to our camp on the dirt road. My son was driving 9 and my wife was driving 10. Later, the same gentleman drove through the camp site on his 4 wheeler way over 10. My son asked him why he can speed and get so upset at everyone else. He made up an excuse for his speeding and then immediatly went to speak with management. Management later told me this was harrassing thier employee. Another time my wife, adult children and grandson were wading in a section of the river bordering the camp (about 5 inches deep). There are signs stating no swimming. Nothing about fishing or wadding. Myself and several other campers wadded in the river fishing and nothing was said. However the wife of the maintenance man came over to my family and yelled at them, telling them to get out of the water. My family did as asked, but asked why because they were not swimming (Note: I told Jan earlier in the day that my family had been wading the night before, she never stated they couldn't wade. She just put her finger to her mouth and said shhhhhh. When my daughter and 4 year old grandson saw Jan a bit later in the day, Jan asked my grandson son if he had fun wadding in the river the night before. The maintenance mans wife went and complained to Jan the manger who then stormed down to the location of my family and told my wife she was harrassing her employees, when this was not the case. She also then very unoolitely and lacking professionalism ridiculled my wife and told her at no time can you be in the water. During our 1 1/2 day stay we adhered to all the rules. We never approached anyone but almost every staff member confronted my family. Jan Gabbard ultimately assulted my wife - we called the police. As a result it was highly recommended to us that we leave the resort for fear something may or may not happen to our rig. We left to prevent any additional escalation. Mark, Jan's husband said if we left they'd reimburse the final two nights we didn't spend there. They are ignoring our requests for refund. I'm not saying this would happen to you, but I can tell you that we will not visit this resort again. There are far to many other resorts with better landscape respectable staff. Riverside Ranch has little if any shad. No fire pits for RVs in the full hook up site.
