Overall a very positive experience with River Sands RV Resort.
The Resort is situated right next to the Colorado River with easy walking access to a nice beach area.
A really nice and well maintained rv resort located about a half mile from the freeway (but did not hear traffic noise from the rv site).
Check-In was easy and efficient.
The rv site is gravel as well as level and huge. There is a little bit of room between sites.
River Sands has a very nice air conditioned clubhouse with ping pong table, foos ball, games and area to lounge and watch TV.
The pool area as well as the pool itself was large and clean.
The only negative would be the loud speed boats that cruise the river.
Expect during peak season there are probably lots of speed boats.
Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night while traveling between Phoenix and Joshua Tree National Park. The park is a few blocks off of I-10: you san see the bridge across the Colorado River but you can't really hear any road noise. When you park by the office building to register and/or pick up your map and WiFi information, ideally you want to position yourself so you can reach the gate keypad when you drive away, but not block anyone else's access to it (though in our case the young man at the desk offered to punch in the gate code for us)
This big-rig friendly campground has 265 pull-through and back-in RV sites, along with 8 cabins. All of the roads are chipseal (think asphalt under a thin layer of tiny gravel) and fairly wide. The sites have wide asphalt pads (probably 25 feet; didn't measure) allowing you to park alongside your rig, and are separated by either gravel or large rocks. The hookups are all located around the middle of the site. There are currently no shade trees, though many sites had saplings planted in between them.
We had booked one of the standard pull-through sites near the entrance, but even though many of those spots were empty, for some reason they put us in one of the deluxe pull-through sites at the back of the campground (site 1005). They didn't charge us extra, and that put us close to the clubhouse and to the river, but it also put us far from the fenced-in dog park. On the other hand, we didn't pay to lock our site, and if we'd realized what they'd done before we drove away from the office, maybe they could have switched us back.
While we didn't make use of the clubhouse, it is a really nice facility, with two lounge areas with TVs, several table games like pool and ping-pong, a nice exercise room, and an outdoor patio leading to the pool and hot tub area. We did take advantage of the river access: dogs are allowed on the beach, which is usually not the case at most waterfront campgrounds. In addition to the beach and the dog park, there are a number of dog stations consisting of a large mat of artificial turf and a poop bag dispenser with trash can located throughout the park, and a number of sandy areas on the edges of the park, so there's always some sort of dog-walking option nearby regardless of where your site is. Walking by the dog park, I did notice there's no dedicated path to it, despite the fact that it's located behind sections of back-in sites, so there's potential for improvement there.
The WiFi at this campground, at least in the clubhouse area, is impressive. I saw speeds of 150 Mbps down and 248 up. They also offer 30 or so channels of DirectTV via the WiFi, accessible via QR code on a smartphone or via a special IP address typed into your browser address bar.
In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 14 Mbps down and 9.5 up, and I had no trouble streaming video during our one night stay. The speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 206 Mbps down and 9 up.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Understandable if they were full but basically empty with website showing over 150 sites available.
Compacted grave done well but very dusty.
Overall acceptable but not for the high pricing.
Maybe that is why their occupancy is low.

Finally a RV "resort" that feels like a resort! While this park is only 1 yr old, and admittedly needs time for its plantings to grow for a more lush desert feel and between site privacy the place is top notch!
The staff is courteous, efficient and friendly. We met the Ops Mgr one evening at the pool area who welcomed us and asked for feedback. When we were leaving a staffer gentleman came by and stopped, thanked us for staying and wished us safe travels- boy was that nice too and so rare these days !
The RV sites are huge and well spaced. So despite lack of bushes or screening (they are there but young!) between sites you did not feel on top of each other. Ours was an end site opposite the club house parking area so we had no one on our patio side-an added bonus. We would recommend sites closest to the river and clubhouse versus around the pond.
The sunsets, the heated pool and hot tub were fabulous. We met some very nice people while we enjoyed the hot tub nightly after a day at the Quartsite RV show and day trip to Lake Havasu City. And hiking. The clubhouse is beautifully appointed, high quality with areas even for peivate gatherings with friends.
The park is very pet friendly and they even have some astroturf areas for dogs who prefer to 'go' on grass. Our small dog liked the rounded gravel on the roads, soft on her feet.
Even though a quick hop off busy Interstate 10 we had ZERO highway noise and the park was very quiet. The beach along the Colorado River is large but was a bit muddy when we were there. The area had just experienced 3 days of heavy rains. But they even have nice tiki type umbrellas down by the beach to enjoy!
All the services are new and worked well. If we had one co.plaint it was where their gate code box is located. Someone has to get out of their vehicle or RV to get to it and it's not in line with the gate driveway.
Ehrensburg itself offers very little other than ease to RT 10. We took a day trip to Lake Havasu City which was a beautiful drive but 1.5 hrs north. We stayed here to attend the Quartzsite RV show (the show was just OK).
We will definitely recommend this park to our friends and social media followers. We plan to stay again when coming along RT 10.

...but all gravel and no shade. Pluses are the facilities are new and the well stocked family dollar across the street. Dog park uses sprinklers to keep the grass alive but it had mud puddles and the grass was dead. Still a very nice place and this group has a few very nice RV resorts (past...the Coachella one is WAY nicer)

The clubhouse was a haven of fun! Decked out with everything from ping pong and air hockey to pool tables, checkers, oversized Jenga, and cornhole boards - there was something for everyone. Just outside the clubhouse, we found a fantastic pool and hot tub. Perfect for cooling off on those hot Arizona days or for soaking under the stars in the evening.
This dog-friendly resort was a big hit with us. The staff was incredibly friendly and kept the property spotless and well-organized. We can't wait to come back!
