Our site was at an odd angle so had to pull out & turn around to get to dumpstation. While using dumpstation you totally block campground loop. The store is a gift shop. No real supplies. Bathrooms are modern but could use a scrub brush. Our 2nd night water pressure was almost nonexistent. Bout 11:30 had to turn ac fan on to cover noise of barking dog at one of the houses on the property. Campground was easy to find. It is convenient for our North/South trips thru Alabama.

I saw a full timer with a 34 ft fifth wheel turn around and head elsewhere. We had spoke and he really wanted to camp here and see the caverns, but decided against it. Some sites are like spokes in a wheel where the entry points are very close to each other. We managed to stay hooked up for our one night stay, but were barely inside our space. Staff is friendly and the place is clean.
Only beef is that the dump station is on the camping loop and there is no turn out space, so you block the loop as you dump. Also, did not have a hose attached to the water, so you'll need to pull out your black hose.
If your rig is smaller like ours, you may like the place very much. It is tucked into nice, mature forest. The pool was not open during our early May stay, but looked very appealing with both a high and low diving board.

We were looking to break up our run up from New Orleans and found this place just off I65. The Highland road into the park is narrow and steep, though not a problem with our 17' Casita! People here are very friendly and welcoming. A big highlight here is a beautiful cave which you can have a tour in for $17 per person. The Alabama State Parks had tried to close this park (it does need some infrastructure work) though there are new bathrooms and hot showers available. Water and electric hookups on the 13 sites. Also here is a large pool which operates during the summer months. Two trails one a fossil finding hike and another short loop which we road with our hybrid bikes. On site is a nice gem collection in the sparse office and store building. Children would like the gem finding slough during the summer.
