Reservations were easy on Campspot.com. It is useful to spend a little time orienting on the map to decide where to set up. At the far corner from the office is a short ramp to the beach. There is a large family pool and a separate adults only pool. Knowing where you might spend the most time might help you pick the best spot. We came in November and there were a lot of choice for spots. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and efficient. We were guided to our spot. The sites are level concrete with full hookups including cable. Our antenna got quite a few channels but the cable got 50. AT&T had 2 bars of LTE (occasionally 5G) which were enough to stream with skips. I could not get their WIFI to work in spite of good signal. There is a dog park, community center (with activities, breakfast) and even a belt sander racing track! Everything is walkable and the people are friendly. There are definitely some long termers but it didn’t feel like that. There are ample trash cans and they pick up trash every day at your site. The restrooms, showers and laundry facilities are modern and clean. The pools are not heated but the hot tub is very hot. There is a wildlife pond in the middle of the park. The beach is a short walk and the gulf water was 80 degrees still in November. I did not see a playground and would say that this park caters mainly to the older set and their dogs (all kept on leashes). You can rent golf carts that you can take on the beach. There are literally miles of beach. They have extra parking for boats or extra vehicles.

We arrived in time for a wonderful Mardi Gras golf cart parade, and the sense of community among the Winter Texans was obvious. We felt very welcome. Lots of activities, though we didn’t experience any due to our touring and some unfriendly weather.
The campground is just a bit outside town, which we really liked. Would definitely stay again.

I wish there were more options for review here because not all was bad. Love being close to beach although we were on the far side and the walk to beach was 1/2 mil or so. Our site was 25 and literally backed up to the highway and was noisy - AND next to the doggie relief area. Space was tiny and MORE than a challenge to maneuver our 30’ travel trailer into. My husband is a master at negotiating challenging spots but this was awful. On departure we kindly asked two spots across from us to move vehicles (extra car/golf cart) to help. They were nice to accommodate us. The actual space was decent however not super cozy and quaint I guess you’re there to spend time on the beach which we did and was wonderful!!! Staff were friendly and their store had items we needed. We were traveling with a group of three total spots and a cabin. Upon our booking we had everything under one name and were told we would have spots next to or near each other and this was definitely not the case. The staff would not accommodate us either. I highly recommend booking as close to beach as possible because the areas in YELLOW are not great. Lots of big rigs(5th wheels and motor coaches). Port Aransas apparently has horrible cell/WiFi service so I should make you aware. Also the cable access at the power post was a little sketchy because the cable was extremely difficult to access and then we had cable about 50%of time and not all channels. Overall the place was clean and good price per night. We are heading back in a week or so. Looking forward to spending time on the beach AND we were able to book a premium spot this time.

We were very surprised by how wonderful this park was. We are traveling with five kids, a dog and a cat, so sometimes communities that have the vibe of 55+ make us nervous. Immediately upon checking in we were greeted with smiling faces and kind staff. We decided on a site that seem to be a little bit farther away than most of the 'regulars' so we wouldn't be a bother and I think that was a great fit for us. Our kids were able to play outside and ride bikes without me worrying that I needed to 'shhh' them all the time. I even later made a joke about it to the staff that I hope we weren't too crazy for anyone, and she said that it's is not during quiet hours anyone who is upset by five happy and smiling kids, they can just get over it. Fellow campers were all very kind. The staff was very pleasant and helpful also. The grounds were kept very clean and the showers attached to the rec hall were very clean. The washers and dryers were very clean, they actually seemed pretty new, in comparison to many other campsites. The 'store' had sodas and a small assortment of snacks and necessities, and also a couple RV maintenance items (but I wouldn't bank on that if you need something). They offer mail service on site. The do charge extra for additional people at your campsite, so that is something I suggest calling about ahead of time if you also have a larger family. Their wi-fi is included and worked great... We were even able to stream Prime videos. Overall, we were very pleased with the resort and would stay there again if we are ever in the area.
