The lakeside sites are very nice and offer the best views. All sites appear pretty easy to navigate, although they aren’t extra wide. The camping area widens up at the end. If you want to use your fire ring, hug the driver’s side of the site. There’s just enough room to keep it safe, but no extra. There was also a charcoal grill at each site.
The lake is very nice and we were told has good fishing. The showers and bathrooms looked clean and each laundry room had a single washer ($1.50) and dryer ($2.00). The grounds were well kept and there is a picnic area, swimming area, playground, and dock. This was a nice park for camping and would have been great for kayaking/paddle boarding, but not for hiking. The trails have a lot of fallen trees across and after a good rain stayed muddy for the next two days. It was mostly empty when we arrived on a Monday, but was filling up by Thursday. The locals told us it’s very popular for folks nearby. We would certainly go again if we were back in the area.

There is NO wifi at the campground. Husband had a zoom meeting while we were here. He was able to do to the lodge and use their wifi. They even had an area he could use during his meeting. Never been here during peak season. Campground on a large lake with boat access along with a swimming beach.

We found this spot when mid-Tennessee was expecting flash flooding so we headed a bit more west.
Very nice, clean hot showers. Clean flush toilets and laundry on site ($2 wash $2dry)
Lake front sites, and paved drives, good for the kids to ride around on their bike sand scooters.
Definitely a nice spot, just a bit more “rv park” than we usually stay.

Couple caveats to share- location matters- several sites seemed close together with limited natural shade. #28 is primo- cell coverage was really poor but if you need to check in with family back home, head up to the lodge for WiFi access.
Very calm waters, great for swimming- a winding exit back to the highway so if you are in a time crunch to get back on the road- plan accordingly

We had a great stay here. It was the off-season so weren’t many others around. We really loved the view of the lake and the playground for the kids to play at.

Overall very nice, modern campground with small laundry room in each bathhouse! Would have had more varied activities in warmer weather since there was a swimming area at the end of our loop and a boat dock at the end of the next loop.
We hiked some nice trails. Closest town for supplies was Lexington; only about 10 miles from this campground.

This was the worst camping experience I've ever had. The camping sites we're really small. And they were so picky about their grass. The geese poop all over the play area and the swimming area was disgusting!!
