We arrived late at night and were able to check ourselves in by picking our own spot. They have an after hours number posted that staff answered promptly. Very relaxed staff--checkout times were on the paperwork but were never verbally mentioned verbally to us, and when we were running late to check out they made no mention of it. Staff is willing to go out of their way to help--we were experiencing yellowjacket swarms to due to having accidentally hit a swarm with our vehicle on the way there, and staff offered to spray down our RV with bug spray or hose it off for us.
The bathroom had typical toilet stalls, with two showers that had just a curtain for privacy. Very nice deluxe shower head, good heat lamp. The rest of the shower was opposite of deluxe, but I really appreciated the nice showerhead, I feel they spent the money where it mattered the most.
We did have a black widow spider hiding in our plugin receptacle, watch out!
Wifi was available, was good when it worked, but also stopped working frequently enough that we ended up just using our hotspot. Sites were pretty close together, but that's what you get with a large RV park. Not muh shade available. Pretty quiet.
$38.75/night is only if paying by cash or check; $40/night if paying by card.

The campground was easy to access from I94 but we couldn't hear traffic from I94. We used this park as a way to explore the entire Theodore Roosevelt National Park so it served our needs:
* Easy to get to the park;
* It was very close to WalMart;
* The staff and owner were extremely friendly and so accommodating with receiving an Amazon order, sending mail out, washing the RV, helping out with needed lumber for a project, etc.;
* Like many private campgrounds, the utility posts are shared so campers park in alternating directions, meaning that your seating area outside is also shared with the adjacent camper. Privacy of course is minimal but we were seldom around so this was not an issue;
* Utilities worked great (sites are full hook up);
* The bathhouse was very clean and well-maintained;
* We didn't use the laundry but it also looked clean;
* The park has several sections including areas with mobile homes and long-term RV parking, but those areas were segregated from the space for the traveling RVers;
* The entire park was clean and felt completely safe and family-friendly;
* Since the park is located within Dickinson there was blazing fast internet access.

Nice surprise and easy access to interstate. Extremely helpful hosts, clean restrooms/showers and great laundry facilities. Long pull thru sites, full hookups and flat!
Nice after a long day on the road. Would stay here and access the NP south site.

After a mechanical breakdown, we stayed here for the sole purpose of having access to stores in Dickinson to make repairs, and the campground exceeded expectations. The campground was easy to access, very close to WalMart, and a few miles from Menards. Like many private campgrounds, the utility posts are shared so campers park in alternating directions, meaning that your seating area outside is also shared with the adjacent camper. Privacy of course is minimal. There were so few campers during our visit that it didn't matter, but would be annoying if the campground were full.
Utilities worked great (sites are full hook up). The bathhouse was very clean and well-maintained. We didn't use the laundry but it also looked clean. The park has several sections including areas with mobile homes and long-term RV parking, but those areas were segregated from the space for the traveling RVers. The whole park, including the areas for long-term residents, was clean and felt completely safe and family-friendly. The staff accommodated our emergency after-hours arrival with a very friendly attitude, and obviously no one took issue with our doing repairs in our site. Since the park is located within Dickinson there was blazing fast internet access. Our only objection is that we just don't like private RV parks very much.

Despite negative reviews, this CG was fine for a short stay. Easy to navigate, close to the Interstate, large level sites. You are close to your neighbors, it is dusty and right now HOT. Good for visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I’m still trying to figure out what happened tonight. I booked a site at this “campground” to finish out a trip to South Dakota and break up our drive home to Minnesota. After all, my husband is originally from Dickinson, and we hadn’t been back for several years. My husband deployed with his unit in the North Dakota National Guard last year so our friends from the area hadn’t seen us for quite some time. We told people that we were camping at North Park Campground thinking it was no problem for anyone to come visit. We couldn’t have been more wrong! If there is anything you take from this, just know that you are not allowed to CAMP in this “campground”. You are only allowed to SLEEP. If you want to do anything other than sleep, such as let your kids play, or eat dinner and visit with people you haven’t seen in years, DO NOT come here.
My husband, me, my 11 year old, my 5 year old, and the eight family members and friends we had over (all age 39 and over and one 7 year old) were kicked out of this so-called campground because we were visiting and the kids were running around having a good time. It was approximately 8:30 pm, and all of a sudden a guy drives up and tells my husband they need to talk. We were told that we were “over the top” and they were not “equipped to handle this”. I said “what do you mean? Handle what? Kids? Our family and friends? Us eating dinner and visiting? We aren’t doing anything wrong!” The owner proceeded to tell us that we needed to leave and threatened to call the police on us. So my husband and I rushed to put everything away while our kids were asking why we had to leave. Our friends and family stood there completely confused as to what was going on, and the owner also made sure to let me know that if I plan on putting anything online, he wanted me to know “what goes around, comes around.” All I have to say to his warning is yes, sir, you are correct. Treating us the way you did tonight, acting like we were complete delinquents and totally out of control, threatening us with police....that will definitely come back to you. I am a military wife and have had tons of training on resilience so I’ll be fine but you have to live with yourself knowing you threw an Army veteran and his family out of your campground for no good reason whatsoever. Needless to say we will never be back.
