I stayed here in a small rig on a rainy day. Lots of potholes but easy to avoid in a small rig if you stay just at the front area. Tried going a bit further and got stuck for a bit. Much easier to access than many dispersed campsites. Nice stay!

I was boondocking in Clarkston, the last week of October 2019, when I learned about this site. It was only five miles away so I drove my car over to check it out before committing my RV to it. It is a beautiful site with many potential sites for camping in tents to parking RV's. It has a public toilet and a trash dumpster. There are many trails to the surrounding mountains, good fishing, and very scenic.
The biggest problem was the access for my 30' RV towing my car on a tow dolly. It has deep potholes and rutting that were unsuitable for my rig. Otherwise, if you have a high clearance on yours, it may be suitable for your RV. If they graded and fixed the road, I would stay here for several days. There are probably six good, level sites for large RVs and many more for smaller RV's and tent camping.
There is a parking area on the other side of the dam, less than a quarter-mile away, with a boat ramp. I don't think it was meant for overnighters - there were no signs saying such. But it also has a public toilet and trash dumpster.
My rating might change if I ever come back, and the road is graded, but I also would be concerned about noise level due to the public use for other than fishing.

There are a few waterfront sites towards the right but they were taken so we parked right on the left hand side where we first turned in since our rig is 44’.
If you have a tent or smaller rig you have a ton of options of where to park if you go left (just keep an eye out since they are dirt roads I recommend scouting first)
We would have stayed longer but we ran out of fresh water lol
Our t-mobile service was 3 bars LTE and full bars with our We-Boost
