A beautiful place with trees and everything you need. Spacious pull-through sites that are clean and level. Lovely amenities! Quiet and comfortable. A real gem!

Pull-through 50 amp FHU all gravel (nicely compacted). Site #44 end spot just behind the office).
THE GOOD:
Staff: Accommodating and nice to deal with every time I have called and at check-in.
Sites: Well maintained and generally level but bare bones (no grass or anything to enjoy camping outside).
Location: Located off of a quiet road outside of town. 5 min to gas, groceries, etc. 15 min to Farmington where more of the bigger stores are if you need them (Target, Walmart, etc). 5 min to Salmon Ruins Museum. 30 min to Aztec Ruins. 1hr 20 min to Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
THE BAD:
Nothing of note.
WORTH NOTING (not good or terrible)
Restrooms/showers: They could use updating for sure. The staff keeps it as clean as they can but overall the showers are just old. A bit tight too. The shower floor was so concave that it was like standing on a large low bowl.

This is a comfortable FHU campground with shade, a feature rare-enough in New Mexico. The town of Bloomfield is a poor community, so first impressions are off-putting. But after spending 2 nights at this park and visiting Navajo Lake to kayak, our visit and this campground “grew on us”. We had a level gravel campsite, with a shabby wooden picnic table and fire ring. Our site backed to a mobile home neighborhood. The bathhouse was clean and spacious, if dated. There was a pool up front near the office, although we didn’t use it. For a rig our size (27’ trailer) this is a vastly better option than Navajo State Park which had tiny spaces and tight curves within Pine CG (the lakeside option). But the lake and marina are terrific - twenty miles away. You will find few if any dining options In Bloomfield so plan accordingly.

We didn’t use the laundry facilities.
We loved our visit to Aztec Ruins National Monument, which is about 15 minutes from the campground. The next day, we drove the hour or so south to Chaco Culture National Historic Park. They’re serious about the roads being rough, but it’s definitely worth it! Farmington is about 20 minutes away, and that’s where most shopping is.
Campground Wi-Fi was fine (3.3 Mbps up and 0.7 down), although AT&T was faster at 14.3 down, 0.9 up. Verizon 5.6 down, 0.4 up.
We would return to this campground if we were in the area, although it’s a higher price than what we typically like to pay ($47 without discounts; we got a 10% Good Sam discount).

We stayed at Moore's for two nights in June. Our original plan was only one night on our way to our destination in Silverton, CO, but fate intervened. The morning of our planned departure we experienced issues with the hydraulics controlling our 5th wheel slides and jacks. Because of the time it took to try and resolve the problem we wound up having to stay an extra night. The staff were great and had no problems with us checking out later than the stated time if it was necessary, and they even discounted our second night.
We had our three dogs with us and the two fenced dog parks in the campground were a great way to let the boys get some exercise.
The campground was clean and quiet. Most spaces are pull-thru with ample room for our rig, including a tag along UTV trailer. We would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a nice level spot and totally enjoyed the spotless bathrooms with great water pressure and lots of hot water. The owner, Dale, went above and beyond after we left something behind to make sure it gets to us on the road. All the staff & fellow RVer’s were extra helpful and friendly. Propane refill was easy to access. Would not hesitate to stay here again and we appreciated the EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
