Read the review prior and wanted to warn others that we also got mice in our trailer! It’s definitely big rig friendly, not sure why it says otherwise on here. I also echo that there is trash, glass, dirt and poor Verizon cell signal.

We had terrible Verizon service, maybe just our phones, but it would go from 1/2 bars to nothing. Difficult to stream movies for the kids and do online work at times. Oh and we got our first ever mouse in the camper here ! BUT, we felt very safe and that’s what was important to us. Beautiful views of mountains and fun watching paragliders. A popular spot for atv/ dirt bike and over night camping and a few campers definitely live here full time but were very nice ! A white truck drives around daily that I assume is some kind of officer checking things out. Saratoga springs has everything you may need and the Mavericks has free dump and water ! Easy to get into for any size rig I would think .

We have stayed here for a total of 3 days before heading to Zion. AT&T had around 15mb and 4mb upload.
People for sure stay here for more than 14 days. There wasn't any glass down where we camped like alot of reviews said.

The road going in is in good shape for gravel. All sites are dirt pull offs, and the ground shimmers at night thanks to all of the broken glass scattered throughout. Most are far enough apart to not be bothered by your neighbor, although some did run generators through the night.
Just up the road a few miles is a Maverick with free dump and water next to the truck lanes. Very convenient.
Cell signal was solid for Verizon and ATT at about 10u/5d for both. Had no trouble working from here.

Views are nice, spot is quiet and mostly flat, but when I came (September 22) it was swarmed with mosquitos. Most mosquitos I’ve ever seen in my life. Bug spray won’t even stop them. I opened my rv door for a split second to go outside and I had about 25- 50 of them flying around in there with us

Not all mosquitos are mosquitos!! That's what I learned at Miners Canyon Dispersed Camping!
When I first arrived I thought for sure that I was seeing swarms upon swarms of mosquitos everywhere so I wasn't even going to go outside! However, upon closer inspection of the bugs on my windows I noticed that they were ever so slightly different than mosquitos. Their bodies were a little wider and transparent and they weren't quite as sinister looking. Turns out they were midges and they were a hundred times more tolerable than mosquitos. For one, they don't bite and for two, when they get inside they're easy to find and kill. They were still somewhat annoying because of the sheer number of them, but they shouldn't deter you from experiencing this campground (at this time of year, anyways.)
The view of the mountains and Utah Lake wasn't so great for my stay due to constant forest fire smoke, but the huge flocks of pelicans flying over the lake were really cool. Very large rabbits, owls and tarantulas were also around.
The main problem with this campground is that much of it is inaccessible to big rigs due to rutty roads and sharp rocks and steep slopes. There are several good spots for big rigs down near the lake but just before the gravel parking lot. And, as many other reviews have stated, THERE IS NO TURN-AROUND BEYOND THE PARKING LOT!

We stayed one night here. The road in is level and appears to be recently graveled. There is a lot of land to camp on. The road you come in on has several places to park that will work for a large RV. We were there during dry weather so we had no issues with sand/dirt, but I can see where it may be a problem during rain/snow. There are a couple dirt roads that lead up to higher sites, but they looked a little rough so we didn’t try them; however, you could see other RVs parked at the top. If you have an RV or a trailer do not go passed to large lot right before you get to the lake. There is a road that takes you around the lake, but there are no turn arounds. This should only be used for cars and tent campers. I saw a truck get stuck trying to turn around.
No restrooms or trash. Two bars LTE with TMobile. Quiet at night. Some flies and mosquitos, but not too bad.

Good access. Not too far. Nice place to stay. Just a lot of mosquitos. But this is normal if you're camping in summer. I recommend this area, especially if you love Salt Lake City.

As far as the view goes this was one of our favorite locations, its easy to get to and has a great view of the lake and mountains. Cell signal was decent. The only drawback was it is very busy, ATVs during the day and some partiers at night. Good spot to check out Salt Lake City area so we will be back. See our video above.
