County park with host - 12 sites with a bathroom and water pumps. No electricity, as stated earlier no playground. Off the beaten path heading out Idaho Hwy 78 North to Oregon. The location is well taken care of slightly better than average this is Tuesday night so far only 4 campers.
We would stop here again.

This was a nice quiet spot to stay for the night. Not much around and a bit far out of town.
This is no longer free.
There's no playground. For traveling with kids a playground is a big bonus.

Dry camping only. Pit toilets.
About 15 minutes off of I-84, it is well worth the extra time for this peaceful location.
In addition, there are several walk-in tent sites right on the banks at the confluence of the Boise and Snake Rivers.
Several people were fishing here, most onshore, some in kayaks.

Needed a one night spot on my way to Montana. December is not the best time to be near a major river. The temps dropped down to about 6 degrees.
The campsites are pretty open. There are some pull thru sites, which is nice when arriving after dark.
This spot is no longer a free place to stay. The fee is $10 per night.

Popular pheasant hunting spot apparently. Close to some rivers. Also out in farm country and kinda smelled of cow dung in the evening. Not bad in the morning though
