We paid nearly $60 for a beautiful spot only because it was late and we needed something but were charged $2.00 for a 4-minute shower (took awhile for the hot water to arrive). Who does that?? The area surrounding the entrance Ryu the Catherine was muddy too… no gravel, no landing outside the door, nothing. Way too much money for this.

We used Maple Haven after having spent 5 nights in Dry River Campground, which has no dumping station.
Staff was courteous, our site, #41 was right along the river. They have a dump station, and electrical & water hookups at the sites.
AND... we got very fast AT&T cell service.
I would stay here again.

Recently stayed here for a night on our way through New Hampshire. Staff were super friendly and accommodating when we arrived pretty late in the evening. The campground is close to restaurants and a great launching point for the Kancamagus Highway.
Sites were a little close together but it was quiet the night we were there. Didn’t notice any issues with campfire smoke as mentioned in another review…

“Bring a gas mask”

Miserably smoky. Wooded sites trap the smoke in. For some reason, literally EVERY site has a fire with green, smoldery wood going 24x7. It’s basically toxic to walk outside. If you’ve ever looked at the air quality report, and thought maybe you shouldn’t jog outside today, avoid this place like the plague.

Nice place under new ownership and improvements made and underway. Many heavily wooded sites for tents, pop-ups and small RV’s. Large sites by the roadway 50 amp FHU with plenty of room for the biggest rigs. Plus they have a Ice Cream shop open to the public Walking or biking distance to North Woodstock, local movie theater is less than 5 minutes away as is a Auto Racetrack. Plenty to do in the area. Will stay again if we are back in the area.
