Small quiet campground just north of Ruston. Stayed here while visiting the campus of LaTech to watch some
baseball. Perfect stay close to campus without the headache of a hotel stay. Met some wonderful 'ol timers' that visit once a year to this campground. Wonderful lake and nice trees.

We arrived late and left mid-morning so we didn’t get to experience all the park had to offer…but we loved what we did experience. The park is situated at the end of a very nice neighborhood and felt very safe. Online booking was super easy and has photos of each site. We called an after hours number when we arrived and they gave us a code to the gate. Sites are paved, manicured and nicely spaced so you don’t feel on top of your neighbor. Many sites have a patio area overlooking the lake. The lake is small but gorgeous with a walking path and beach. And you’re close to restaurants, coffee shops and groceries. There’s also supposed to be some great mountain bike trails…which we didn’t get to ride. We would definitely stop again. It’s made our list of great stop-overs as we travel cross country.

It’s easy to see why this park is Park of the Year for Louisiana. It’s clean and well-kept; has a walking/running trail around a small lake. Sites are level and paved; most have shade all day ( important when weather is in the 90’s!). Plenty of room for even class A; some pull-through sites. Only stayed one night but will return.

All the staff are remarkably friendly. Arrival was quick and easy, we called ahead for a reservation, then we were told to just drive in and select a site. Terraced sites near the water are beautiful. The price is GREAT considering that they have full hook-ups (W/E/S)! We will definitely stay here when we have an opportunity!

We stayed one night, arrived just after noon on a Friday and got the last back in site along the lake trail, there were more pull throughs abut it would be been tough.we have a 37ft fifth wheel toy hauler and imo the back in was tight with the paver wall across from our site but my husband and managed! Nonetheless we really enjoying the peaceful quiet of the lake. Our kids fished along the lake trail quite a few times (catch and release) and we enjoyed walking the lake loop with our dogs. The sites themselves were clean and nice flat concrete! Cannot speak to the bathrooms as we didn’t use them.

Sites overlook a small lake that has fishing piers, a beach, roped off swim area. Lots of hike/bike trails and a pavilion. Many RV sites are elevated with concrete pads, wrought iron fence surrounding the site and pea gravel surrounding the pad and fire pit. Everything in the park is neatly kept up. Only (very minor) point of note was no over air TV.
