This is a really clean, nice CG with lots of space between sites. It’s not a far detour off I-90 and worth it. About half the sites have power 50 amp. It was maybe 1/3rd full and half of those were an airstream group. No cell at CG but limited at visitors center. We took Paradise cave tour as it was the only one operating. I think ... more

I think the Classic may have shown you more of the cave , but it was still worth it. Saw some elk across the river. Tours ran every hour on the half hour.
Water, dump and restrooms closed for season.

Site E1, electric (50A) only. There is a potable water fill station and dump station if needed.
Gravel roads, gravel pad, 60 foot back in site, aligned nicely with circle drive.
Large site overall, grass between sites, plenty of space between sites, fire ring and picnic table.
Site E1 was about 2 inches to level left/right, but significant drop of the nose to level front/back.
Minimum reception on Verizon or AT&T, no OTA TV and of course no wi-fi.
Very nice campground, playground, tent sites, cabins. Pay showers are available, didn’t use, not sure when they were last cleaned.
Lewis & Clark Caverns tour (additional from campground fees) is the main attraction. The “Classic” tour was outstanding. Great information about the discovery and subsequent development of the Caverns and how they became Montana’s first state park. It was cool to be in the caverns with the bats flying around. Hiking trails also available.
Overall, a very nice over night or short stay location. If you need food or fuel, the best fuel prices are in Three Forks, MT, about 15 miles from the Caverns. They also have a grocery store and an outstanding place to eat, the Iron Horse Café and Pie Shop.

We had a lovely one night stay in a less than half filled park in late September. It was unseasonably hot and windy during the day and the night time low in the 40’s. We had very little cell coverage. Very picturesque.

Lovely park with good space between campsites. Loved the hiking trails. Some train noise. I didn't do the caverns tour so can't comment on that. Showers are coin operated and expensive. Definitely a nice place to stay.

The cave is up the hill and they have a spot to drop trailers at the entrance if you aren’t staying. Pretty warm longish uphill hike to the cave from the top of ridge center.

Nice camp ground. The loops were fantastic to navigate. The sites were big. We were not looking directly into anyone’s windows of theirs into ours. The playground was nice for the kids. We normally disperse camp, so the no hookups in loop C didn’t bother us. And we found the site to be quite flat. Didn’t bother to level - it was close enough for one night. No cell service in loop C but got service at the campground entrance.
Very quiet.

Sites are large and fairly level and long enough for larger rigs. Double dump station so you aren’t waiting in line. There are a few sites with electricity, but they are difficult to get. About 3 miles from the caverns. If you have a dog, the caverns will provide a dog kennel in the shade. No cell service for Verizon.

This was a lovely, quiet stopover on our trip to Glacier. The campground is extremely easy to navigate with a big rig. There is water available by C loop if you have a jug to fill. Electric was a dependable 30 Amp.

So hard to find open parks with electric this time of year. We had the entire camp to ourselves and it is surrounded by beautiful views. Water, bathrooms and dump station closed for winter but electric hookups, trash and vault toilets available. Easy to get to from I90 and you will feel a world away.
