The electrical system could use an update. If you can get away with 20 amp that opens up some sites. Check electrical before you select site.
Cell service is spotty. Parts of campground it is ok. Starlink is fair at best. Hard to not get obstructions from trees. The lodge WiFi is slow but good enough for zoom meetings and most internet. I heard they are upgrading.
Somewhat limited if you have huge camper. And the bathrooms aren’t super nice but work just fine. For someone who grew up camping it’s luxury to have a hot shower.
On the plus side camping is spread out. Big lodges with TV. Lots of shade and not hot. Lots of outdoor activities close by. I absolutely love it here.

The roads and sites are gravel/rock and VERY dusty. Lots of mature trees throughout the park. Some sites are super shady and don’t have much sun at all. There are several pull through sites, but majority are back in. Some sites are FHU and others are W/E only. Some of the electric sites are 30 AMP only.
Once arriving with reservations, sites are FCFS. They are not assigned. At arrival the ranger asked what we were looking for and suggested a few sites that she knew were open.
Campground has a pool (closed for the season on September 17th) restrooms, showers , laundry room , cornhole, mini golf, dump stations, and a couple of ponds (no fishing allowed). Restrooms and showers were a little dated, but clean. The restroom located behind site 127 was renovated within the last year. Also, it appears a restroom located in the LakeView section was updated as well. The LakeView section of the campground closed for the season on September 12th. In my opinion, the laundry room wasn’t as clean as it should be. I personally did not want to use their machines.
Sites are mostly in the tress. Some have more privacy than others (especially those in the meadow view loop). Site 127 wasn’t the most level. It could’ve used some fill in some spots. There was a large stump towards the front center of the site that they had marked with a cone. Lots of room to park next to it and it not interfere with us at all. I think that’s why the site was still open. The ranger said no one has camped in this particular site for awhile. Electric and sewer located in appropriate spot in the site. Water was towards the front of the site, so make sure you have a long hose. Site had a picnic table and fire ring. There is currently a burn ban at the campground.
At site 127 had 1-2 bars Verizon LTE. Very slow and not reliable. At the pool able to get 5G With no problem. Did not get OTA or satellite here.

Overall nice park. Hit and miss on clean restrooms. Has a nice pool. Watch out for the trees and low branches. Roads can be dusty with lots of traffic. Cell service is good with Verizon. Feels like camping.

We stayed 7 nights at the Leavenworth thousand trails and while it was fine for the most part, there were a few things that were an issue. The roads within the campground are very tight and there are trees everywhere, so it’s not easy to maneuver if you have a larger rig. There were many sites without working power, and the few full hookup sites were taken by people who lived there full time, which typically wouldn’t have been an issue. However, since there weren’t sewer hookups, we planned to use the bathrooms to shower to save room in our tanks. Every bathroom was absolutely disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been taken care of in decades. We ended up driving to the planet fitness in wenatchee to shower because we couldn’t fathom showering in their bathrooms. Also, the road to get to the campground was winding and long. It’s about 18 miles from town, which isnt usually an issue, but the road was just annoying to drive. We didn’t encounter any employees at the park until our last day, but Linda and Nils were really helpful! If you want phone service, stay near the road, the further back you go, the less cell service there is. Overall, not the worst for being free, but we likely would not come back.

The campground is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Would be a great family vacation spot with many activities available.
Cell phone coverage is excellent at the lodge and the nearby sites but becomes more spotty the further out you get.

We stayed here for Christmas and New Years. They did a great job maintaining the campground during the snow storms. Our family had the best time here. Everything was always kept clean and the staff was always so friendly and would go above and beyond making sure we had all we needed. It is about a 30 minute drive to Leavenworth but there was so much to see and do and that area that the drive wasn’t that bad. That area is still considered Leavenworth so they are not misleading as other comments have indicated. We can’t wait to come back to this campground!

The electrical issues that others talked about are still there - but the no-power sites are clearly marked, they tell you upon checkin which sites these are, and they do not accept reservations for these sites. Well managed I would say. The sites are relatively close together but many trees provide some privacy. The pool, common rooms, and mini golf areas are clean and well maintained. Surprisingly, we had great cell service here - 3 bars with no booster!

Would definitely stay here again when in search of a more rural camping experience, but it’s not workable for us because I work from our RV and there’s no internet and spotty cell service. Very limited spots with full hookups.

Drive in on Chumstick hwy can be vomit-inducing with a few very tight turns for big rigs. Feels like driving into Leavenworth is a chore. Power was out for almost every full-hookup site, and the ones that had power were under the threat of power being turned off for maintenance any day. We moved to the other side of the park after one day, no full hookups, but had 30-amp and water. After a few days the water was disconnected due to freezing, they have a water refill station near the entrance.
