“Great Spot On The Way To Jackson And Parks”

I did not expect an open spot in July arriving on a Wednesday at 4:30 pm. Plenty of spots available. Most of the spots are not level. We were in spot #10, which was the closest to level. Road noise was not an issue, Camp host sells firewood. The host keeps a very clean toilet facility.

This is, in many ways, a classic Forest Service campground: small, not a lot of amenities, but immersed in nature. The sites are fairly private and even on a busy night without a host present, the campground was very quiet.
I stayed in site 02 with my T@b and it was level enough that ai remained connected to my tow vehicle for my overnight stay.
1 bar of Verizon 4g was good enough!
Tip: if this and Hoback CG are full, the Warren Bridge BLM campground is about 20 minutes down the road and is a nice, alternative, though not in a forest setting.

“Great price, nice campground, less level than Hoback”

Similar price and location to Hoback. Had 1 bar Verizon 4g here which was a plus! However, sites were very unlevel. 7/8 sites recommended for smaller campers (we're in a truck camper so no problem). There is 1 larger site for a largish rig if you get lucky and get it. Good campground for the price and pulling in at 10pm!

Pulled into this campground June 4th and found our 43 foot long 5th wheel and TV fit just fine with room to spare. Forest Service site indicates max 30' for this campsite. Site was not level at all. Took most of our blocks to level the camper. The couple of hours we spent here were very quite even though you could hear the traffic on 191. There were only two others campers when we left. We found a boondock site on Granite Creek road that was much better so we did not stay.
