Kayaked 3 days and did some hiking near Heise where there is a hot spring and zip line.
Walking around Idaho Falls green belt was nice looking at the man made falls.
Our site had a view of the reservoir.
We made reservations as we had never been here before but you definitely wouldn’t need to do so. Loop B and C are FC and even on the weekend they didn’t fill completely but better sites were gone. Most views of the lake are in Loop A reservable. I would chose A14. It has shade and views only no sewer. There is a dump station so no issues.
Only negative is that there is no swim beach. They do have swim platforms on the lake but again you need a boat. Everyone we spoke to was catching fish.

The gate closes at night, but the camp host let us know an alternate if we ever had an emergency and had to leave/return late at night. A loop is reservation only and B and C are first come first serve. We will continue to stay when we head that direction and actually have a site booked again for this summer.
Cell service with AT&T and Verizon is great for remote work, video conferencing, and streaming.

We camped here in late October, having headed down from Yellowstone. It was a good spot for traveling between West Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons as the south road out of Yellowstone was closed for the winter. BTW, if you’re traveling to the Tetons, the drive through Alpine from here to Jackson WY provided spectacular scenery.
We had our pick of spots with only 3-4 rigs in the campground. We were alone in loop B. After the one snow day here, when it got down to 5 degrees, the skies were clear and blue, and temps rose above freezing after two days. The park has full hookups, but being winter the water was off and restrooms closed. The loops and each site are paved, which provided ease of movement in inclement weather.
It is a very pretty campground, with lots of trees. It’s a nice walk to the reservoir, and walking around the park was pleasant too.
We filled propane tanks in Rigby at the Sinclair station, also did laundry, and shopped at Braulim’s grocery there. Braulims was a very well-stocked grocery store for a small town. We took a 30-minute trip to Idaho Falls to fill an RX at the Walgreens there. And they also had a Costco, so did some provisioning.
We had good cell coverage and internet with AT&T.
We really enjoyed this park. We usually prefer the space and solitude of boondocking, but visiting here in the winter provided the same experience! The electric hookup let us run our fireplace some which was a treat, although at times we had to be mindful to keep the furnace running to heat the trailer’s undercarriage so tanks wouldn’t freeze.

Easy access with paved roads and plenty of room between sites to maintain privacy. Very quite, peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed walking down to the reservoir.
The wind really picked up in the evenings 20-30mph and rocked our trailer. Filling the fresh water and grey tanks helped with the stabilization but did not eliminate the rocking.

We ended up staying here 5 nights. The campground is very clean and offers paved sites for only $25/night for full hookups. Our site was level and had plenty of room. There are large grassy areas between sites, so no one is ever right next to your. Many of the sites have both 50 and 30 amp. Several sites are a bit steep, meaning the area has lots of hills, so many of the sites slope. Especially in the C Loop. Both B and C loops are available as walkins, while the A loop is reservation only. The A loop has better views of the reservoir. We though the B loop had the nicest sites. All sites are paved and have picnic tables and fire rings and large grassy areas between them.
We are self-contained, so we cannot speak to the bathrooms. There is trash dumpsters available.
If you stay here, be sure to visit the nearby Heise Hot Springs and the Cress Creek Nature Trail! We'll have some videos of our visit on our YouTube Channel (Modern Canine Vlog)

Juniper Campground fits the bill perfectly!
We booked the reservable A loop. Our site was easy to get into and the space outside the door felt like your own backyard surrounded by Juniper trees. There are several sites that I would have struggled to get into, I'm not sure if they would all have appeared on my filtered list looking for a 45-foot spot. Those sites are either not level or have a gradient change which would have hit the bottom of the RV. I know we are low to the ground, but it's something I would look at carefully if booking a new site in the future. The campground is used by a lot of fairly local people, so it fills at the weekend and is very quiet during the week. The fellow campers were very friendly.
The area is really nice, with the reservoir, mostly surrounded by wheat and soy fields. The local town Ririe has a Mexican hole in the wall that is very good and cheap. Idaho Falls is about a 30-minute drive, but of course, it has everything shopping and dining wise.
Overall, loved our stay.

Private clean restroom shower combo. Handicap sites have a paved walkway to a restroom/shower. Loop A is by reservation. Loop B and C are first come first serve. We arrived on a Wednesday at the end of August and easily found a spot for our 42 ft fifth wheel. The pull throughs are large. Our RV and truck easily fit with enough room for another vehicle. It is located an hour and 45 minutes from Jackson Hole and West Yellowstone. 30 minutes to Idaho Falls.

up for you if you call him. The site, as most in the C Loop, has plenty of room for our camper and truck. It has a fire pit, picnic table. The roads and sites are paved with large grassy areas between the sites. I noticed there is usually some availability in the first come first serve areas. There is a nice laundry mat in the town of Ririe just a few minutes away.
