Kind of a neat spot but a long way to be treated so poorly. was at the pay station when some ranger came up and said hurry up and pay or get out....so opted for the latter. total jerk that needs to be fired....keep away

We arrived late at night and went right to sleep. Park ranger woke us up early in the AM to to let us know we had to pay or get out. Camping is $15 and you pay at a machine that works 24hrs.
Aside from being woken up early, we had a nice stay and slept well here!

2 loops to park in we chose the first loop to the right. The second one looks doable, but there is quite a few trees close to the road. Some of the branches where hanging to low for us.
Most lake front spots are in full sun and no shade. If you want a shade spot, there is a hand full in the loop.
Pit toilets, Trash, and Recyling in each loop.
Cell service is decent.
On AT&T iPhone service came in and out, when available it was only one bar.
On Hotspot service hopped between 1 and 2 bars, DL @ 4.83 MB, UL @ 1.72 MB
Verizon Phone was 1 bar of service, not hot spot available.
We came in from highway 5, nice paved 2 lane country road. Beautiful drive with a few hills and tight turns.

“Closed”
Reviewed 3/20/2018
Gonna have to assume that this opens the same season as Stony gorge reservoir (April 13 - on) because I drove up to it and the site was closed.

“It’s closed!”
noted 5/23/2021
We got here at noon and found that its day use only Area was open. Campground was closed. Then we tried to go to nearby stony gorge and the official told us to loop around as the gate was closed. We looped through hills but with no access to the campground so we’re disappointed by misinformation as well. In nutshell it’s closed for the season.
