Site 20 overlooked the creek. Plenty of hiking and the hot springs are amazing.

We’ve stayed here several times over the last 15 years. It never disappoints. Great hiking, good fishing, and spectacular scenery. The 9 mile drive up is terrible, however. If you have an RV, plan on almost an hour to get up those 9 miles.

As others have mentioned the road out there as long and it can range from smooth and quick to slow and steady. But it’s almost always passable in any type of rig. The campground is lovely but I will mention most all of the sites are un-level. Just be warned that you’ll have to do some serious Lego blocking at most of the sites.

We originally looked for dispersed camping all along granite Creek road but many of the sites were already taken.
We arrived at dusk.
We did find a beautiful dispersed site but discovered that we couldn't have a fire on this site due to the current restrictions and it was COLD!
So we decided to continue further down to the paid campsite and we weren't disappointed.
The road is long and I mean long and it's rough gravel, we were ok in the tacoma and saw larger trucks and rigs coming back the other way so it's obviously not that bad (or they know it's worth it too)
It was dark by the time we got set up so after a much needed fire and food, we went to sleep.
Great privacy!
No noise other than the absolutely stunning river nearby and the wildlife.
Bear boxes provided and the the toilets were clean.
The CG host was very lovely and helpful.
What a wonderful area to wake up in!

Our campsite (#4) backed up to a big meadow with mountain views, and we were able to pitch our tents in a shady grove of trees. Campsite was clean and neighbors were mostly quiet and respectful. A really lovely place to stay for a couple of nights!

The hot spring pool is just a mile up the road. Springs appear to be leased to business, it is will kept and clean. The waterfalls you can drive right up to are very large and freezing. We saw a lot of fishing happening, didn't fish ourselves. The camp host was nice, outhouses were VERY CLEAN. Campsite came with fire ring, picnic table and charcoal grill. Campsites were some what not level so bring leveling block with you.

We pulled onto the road leading to the campground early afternoon on a Saturday hoping to find a free spot along the river, as others have posted in their review. We didn't find anything available, though, so we continued up to the organized campground and found a few spots open there and grabbed one. It ended up being fairly close to the river and had a great view.
The campground was busy and I think they filled up that night. With the exception of a couple of kids zipping around the road on a quad, it was quiet. There were restrooms available, but we didn't use them. Some of the sites had water hookups, ours did not.
One of the best things about this campground was the location to the hot springs. It was walkable if you wanted, or only a few minutes drive, and the springs were a great way to relax after a long drive. The kids loved it. We also enjoyed a nice waterfall hike the next day and it looks like there's lots of hiking trails around if you spend more time. We also saw a couple deer over the two days.

Once we arrived we wished we would have brought our camper with us from the campground we were staying at. The campground was very clean and had great views. We hiked some of the trails and went in the hot springs pool ($8). The setting was outstanding. Next time we are in the area we will be staying here for several days.
