One improvement they for sure need is to get a grader in there and level out the streets. Holy buckets are they rough. Otherwise can’t tell you if they were friendly or not because for the two days we were there we didn’t see any camp personal.
Also- spot 139 did not have a picnic table for some reason. That was a little weird. Water pressure is low in this site with a water filter on.
Otherwise pleasant stay. Would stay again.

Easy in/out of the park; there are long term and short term rigs in park. Dog friendly. Lots of mud puddles given all the rain Amarillo has experienced, nothing the park could do right now since the rain is still washing out roads.

The location is ideal when driving the Route 66.
Everything was well organized, functional and well maintained. The sites were spacious and nice and flat.
The wind was pretty bitter and there’s not much in terms of windbreaks.

Check-in was very easy, they even had our name printed on the booklet. We were given great information on the area attractions, restaurants, and how to avoid construction. We were only here for a couple of days and plan on returning as we travel back east next year.

Great customer service, they provided information to skirt the road construction in Amarillo. We were traveling north so the location was excellent for our departure since mostly out of the city center. On an end spot, close to the dog park. The dog park was nice, grassy, well kept and fairly large. They have a good store if you require anything last minute or close to stores in the area. The spaces are tight and not too many trees. The park also has a grassy area sectioned off to sit or walk around without dogs. Internet was good and overall no complaints only compliments.

A one night stay turned into two when a winter storm hit the area. Park seemed to have a good number of long term campers. I haven’t and continue to not use most of the facilities these campgrounds provide. So I can’t speak about the laundry or indoor pool. Campground seems very nice with numerous amenities. My spot was perfectly level and quiet. Nice to have cable TV. Internet was included but it was so slow that it was useless. For $45/night the internet should have been great. I had to enter the office to complete the registration. Sign at the entrance specified that I had to wear a mask in order to gain admission. Which I did. Woman behind the desk did not wear a mask. Hurts my brain when I try to make sense of this behavior.

Lots of pretty features in the campground but we just felt completely jammed in, especially since most other sites had huge motor homes or fifth wheels. We pulled up stakes after two nights of not sleeping because of our neighbor’s heater going on/off all night and it was worth going elsewhere, even though we lost the $$ for the last night.
Our site had no picnic table although others did. Seems to cater to seasonal or full time customers.

We were able to book a spot at this campground for a quick one night just a few hours prior to arrival. The camp host was very friendly and informative. It’s located in an industrial part of Amarillo, so I wouldn’t say the views are fantastic, but it certainly serves a purpose. The campground has also built a cute community of old west buildings that give the feel of an old western movie - very cute!
Each site has a little grass turf area for pets and the resort also has a large grassy area for dogs to play. The streets were easy to navigate and the site was plenty large for our rig and truck.
We would absolutely stay here again when passing through Amarillo. While we were just quickly visiting family on this trip, the resort’s overall access to the nearby Palo Duro Canyon and other Amarillo staples (Cadillac Ranch) is great.
