Is 35’ the max length? My friend has a 42’. I’ve heard there are a few spots that will accommodate a larger RV. Thanks.

For only having electric hookups and no hot water in the T-Loop bathhouse $40 a night seemed overpriced for us but we wanted to stay in the National Park and there wasn't a lot of other good options around so we sucked it up and paid it. The campground itself was well maintained. All the sites were big and pull-through. The staff that we encountered were nice and helpful. Of course there's a lot to do in the area considered you're in the National Park. They have a marina that has a store that is your typical convenience/camp store. You could rent boats and kayaks through them. They also had a food truck there.
This is no reflection of the campground itself but I wanted people to be aware if you decided to stay here. The snakes are PLENTIFUL, mostly along the main roadway at night but we did see a couple in our campground. One of them happened to be a Pygmy Rattlesnake that was just a few inches off the pavement. We never saw it because it was curled up in some leaves and it ended up biting our dog who in turn we had to put down. The snakes along the roadway were cottonmouths. Please be aware of yourself, small kids, and animals if you bring them. The mosquitos were AWFUL! The only time we weren't getting attacked was mid-day. Other than that there were swarms of them. We've camped a lot of places all over the US and I've never seen them that bad. Bring lots of bug spray, you're going to need it.

We arrived the park and checked in, filled up our water tank at the dump station and went to our site. All sites are large, pull through and ours was level, the other appear to be also. There are large trees throughout which is nice. It was a nice place to stay and relax. We took the Florida Bay boat tour. It was nice to be out on the water on a hot day and see many birds including some Great White Heron. We also had dolphins playing in the wake of the boat on the way back and saw a manatee briefly in the harbor.
Note there is gas at the Marina store and the next closest gas station is south Miami. Gas was $6.45/gallon when we were there, just lettin’ ya know.

Enjoyed our stay. Oversized sites, clean bath houses. If you want hot showers go to the tent side, there is solar heated water. No water at sites. Dishwashing sinks. Great kayaking. Tons of birds, bring your binoculars and birdbook!

Incredible campsite with great location as it is close to hiking trails, boating, small visitor center, and plentiful canoeing/kayaking opportunities. Windy and chilly night in Early March kept mosquitoes to a minimum and there was lots of room for us to bring our dog. Fire pits at every tent site and picnic tables were a plus with plentiful and very clean bathrooms. Park rangers drove around to check on noise levels and to make sure cars were not parked on grass. Highly recommend!

I really like the campground and gave 4 stars because of mosquitos & I am reviewing Tloop only. Nature at its finest! Rate is 10% off because of National Park Lifetime pass; Check-in was good; staff gave me advance lengthy email of where birds are best seen; I logged 23 species total and am still hopeful to see the Great White Heron. Research Rd proved the best birding & the guided boat tour on Buttonwood Canal was awesome. Long & spacious sites with level concrete pads, grassy areas between; I am 15 ft parked next to a 50 ft pusher & they still have more length even with their Suburban parked in front of RV; ask for preference of west shade; only some sites are shaded. Bathrooms very clean with cold water only - you have a quick gasp then all is well. Gravel roads; black vultures abound along with the mosquitos. The vultures like sitting on the fire grills & picnic tables waiting for you to provide tidbits - DON’T! Campground store sells food & mosquito stuff - I suggest a mosquito hood & shirt; food truck open yet restaurant & room rentals still under repair & construction. Cell service if non existent at PM & sketchy during day.

Except the crazy number of mosquitoes. We used repellant spray and wore full clothing, and even then one managed to bite my face. Within seconds of leaving the camper we had multiple bites. So we left the camper and drove back to Homestead and got some errands done, and then went to the James Bond movie. Despite not being able to get a refund for the second day, we cut our losses and left. Even the ten minutes it took to hook up the truck and raise the jacks left us with multiple mozzie bites. Maybe it’s just us or we did something wrong. Otherwise highly recommended!
Beyond that, there is ONLY AT&T cell signal here and it’s quite a good one. However there’s nothing from the others whatsoever and no WiFi.
Also, be aware that this is at the end of the long 35 mile road in so it’s a trek to get here.

The sites are all long pull through but only about half have electric. There were only 3-6 other campers the whole time we stayed but could probably get noisy if crowded. Not a lot to see and do other than the boat tour. The website is deceiving. The restaurant and visitor center isn’t completed yet and the lodging is barely started. The marina is small and overpriced. 2 drinks and bag of ice were over $10. The brush is overgrown around the border so definitely wouldn’t go towards the water in some places.
