Overall Rating

I checked out every private campground in the WV Panhandle and Edgewater is by far the nicest one I found. My campsite was right on the Ohio River. There is a train track along the river but I rarely saw a train. Nice place, and the owners are wonderful!

We loved this small and quaint campground. Very clean with lots of beautiful shade trees. The owner Tom is a very nice person. There’s a small marina for pontoon boats and a lagoon off the river. There’s nothing we didn’t like about the place. There’re railroad tracks but only one train comes through a day and it’s early in the even... more

Edgewater Park is close to our family, and Tom and Pam are great hosts. The park doesn't have a lot of the amenities people might want but it was easy to find and get settled into.
