I was here in early November and think I was the only camper in the campground. Camping is free during the winter but there is no water or other facilities. Beautiful, quiet location!

Wooded, secluded campsites. Many large enough for two campers. Picnic table and fire pit. Very clean. We occasionally had a bar or two of cell service with our weboost.

There are a few sites that would accommodate my rig that is nearly 45’ in length when the T3 is hooked up to my pickup. The way the entrance to the site is configured made it impossible for me to back in so I pulled in straight. Backing out was no problem. I’d love to be here in the fall when the mosquitos and gnats are not my constant companions. The campsites are very isolated from one another so it was dead quiet at my site. Although I’m sure there were campfires in the evenings, I never had issues with smelling smoke in my camper. While Verizon cell service was very spotty, the signal from the Grand Marais public radio station on the FM band was very strong. The pit toilets are very clean and well-maintained. The entire campground was very clean. My site had absolutely no trash or evidence of habitation other than ashes and firewood. My rate reflects my senior pass

Remote area with only vaulted toilets. Clean with lots of space between sites. Good fishing lake even from your campsite if you got 1 on the water. I have caught walleye and bass from site and boat. There's a restaurant/bar accessible from boat if camped at campground. The restaurant is located on other side of lake about 4-5 miles away. It's a dog friendly restaurant and has dock to pull boat up. Not to many cabins on lake and pretty secluded. Only downfall is no hookups at any sites and bugs can be horrible!!

It was a nice lake to kayak on. There were also a lot of hiking trails in the area which we hiked on both sides of the lake. The trails were well marked and remote, so we could let the dogs run off leash.

Most sites are large and deep separated from each other by dense tree growth. There are about five sites right on DT Lake. A few are close to the access road, but most have deep approaches which affords privacy.
There is a boat launch, pit toilets, trash bins and those horrible NF water spigots. The water is quite hard and with heavy mineral content so come prepaired.
