Obvious shady dealing at the site directly across from us. The campground was dirty, had tire track ruts in the mud/grass all over the park, and most camp sites looked like a yard sale blew up. We were supposed to stay for two nights but left after the first night before even daylight. The smart thing to do would have been to do a drive by before I paid 70 bucks.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. There was a little noise from the road, but our site was also close to the entrance. I used it as a base for visiting Tacoma. We would drive to the Federal Way Transit Center (about 5 miles), park our truck then take a bus right downtown. Parking was free and the bus is only about $2:50 each way. Makes for such a relaxing day.
I would stay here again if I were visiting Tacoma.

No hot water in bathroom/shower of lower loop. Sign says shower in upper loop has hot water. Long walk to upper loop (which is closed for the season) to find that bathroom closed for construction and a portable trailer with 2 shower stalls. One stall does not drain (looks like tank is full) and 2nd stall shower head and hose is laying on floor with no way to reconnect. Host not on duty the entire time I was there. Should have read the previous reviews before choosing this destination.

We planned on staying at another campground but due to constructions they send us to dash point. Arrived at 2:30pm and the girl in the booth was pretty nice but wasn’t able to help us with information about public transport to Seattle. They only had 2 sites left so we picked one, payed and left the campground again for a short day trip. When we came back, someone else was standing in our site. I don’t know if he really had a reservation as he told us but as he and his 3 kids already put up their tents, we shared the site. They occupied the table and everything so we just had our car. In the Morning there was no one to talk to about this. Also, the bathrooms were very Shabby and shower was just a Stall next to the toilets.

Due to the size of our rig and pricing, we decided not to stay, but it did look quite nice. A lot of sites among big trees and brush, with a decent amount of space between them. Plenty of bad reviews about this park, but the appearance and feel driving through, did not reflect what others have stated.

The homeless couple, who I am assuming must lived in that park were at our site before us. The man pissed all in the fire so when we lit up the fire all we could smell is human piss. Real pleasant when you’re trying to cook food. Never again. Don’t bother.

At 6:58 this morning a train whistle blowing camp leader led 50 campers into middle of the campground for jumping jacks. One site had at least 14 kids. And “quiet time” seems to begin around 11pm or whenever the last camper shuts up. Pretty much like 1/2 the CG is normal campers, 1/4 never come out of camper, 1/8 live in tents possible here for years, and 1/8 camp but have little concern for noise. Not well maintained and rarely anyone at the gate but finding full hook ups is not easy around here. Full fire ban removed most of the fun so try to come when able to cook out at least. Saltwater CG looked like better location if spending time in Seattle. Spots are a little tight to position trailer, lots of trees.

And they have sinks but we seen people bathing there kids in them, so we did our dishes at our camp. The last night we were there the ranger was rude and angry acting like we didn’t pay and when we showed him our recipient he still wasn’t nice. If you do go be warned they are not that nice and not quiet

We stayed here in the middle of May of 2018 on our way to Sol Duc Hot Springs. First of all, we arrived 4 hours after the check in time to find our reserved spot occupied with an Airstream and the owner of it not at the site. We drove our truck and trailer back to the camp host location to ask why it was still occupied. He said he didn't know and to go find another spot that we liked. I pulled into spot #36, it was a pull through spot with a huge stump. The photo I posted was someone's else's busted light that hit it. Careful of that! My husband and I started to set up and the park ranger stopped by to tell us she had talked to the guy that had the Airstream. He somehow busted his awning to where it flung straight up in the air and was hanging on the roof! Okay, but it was quite evident he had no intention of leaving that spot since he hadn't packed any of his belongings up when we arrived at 5:00pm. Our name and site # was on the reserved list in the front, he should have saw that and the ranger should have be making sure all spots are vacated at the check out time.
After we finished setting up, we noticed our fire pit was full of garbage. Right about that time we noticed jet engines above, one airplane after another started landing and taking off close by. It was noisy. We decided to go on a walk around the grounds. Several spots had fire pits full of garbage and more garbage laying around the campsites. This is the first Campground we've been at where the spots were not cleaned after the people departed.
As we walked around we found a trail the led us to the beach. It was a gorgeous hike and the area on the way there was beautiful! This helped make up from some of the stuff so far. Loved the lush greenery on the trail and the stream. Didn't care to see that someone had tagged the walkway staircase with spray paint, that took away from scenery. We made it to the beach, it was small and very pretty! We took some photos and then we hiked back on the trail to the campground. We got back to our spot and someone two spots away from our campsite had a big diesel truck running. It was a tow truck loading someone's truck that had broke down when they arrived. That truck ran for an hour! We tried to relax by our campfire for about an hour, but the planes were too loud and it was all getting annoying. Finally went inside and went to bed. Still heard the planes inside our travel trailer. Around midnight there was a few here and there, but few enough to get some sleep. Then around 4:00am, four vehicles started up and idilled at different campsites for about. 10 minutes and then left. Relaxing at this place was non existent for us. Too much noise for a Campsite. Thankfully this was a one night stay for us on our way to our next campsite. I don't think we will return to this one.
