Overview of Craig Lake State Park
Beginning 2023, the park's 22 designated backcountry campsites will transition to reservation-only sites to help combat park natural resource degradation and make it easier to locate campers in emergency situations. The 2023 backcountry camping season runs May 20-Nov. 1. Reservations are available six months in advance, which means camping reservations will start to become available beginning Nov. 20, 2022.
Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into state parks and recreation areas, state boat launches, state forest campgrounds and state trail parking lots. The Michigan Recreation Passport does not cover local, county, municipal, or metropolitan parks or recreation areas. Learn more: Michigan Recreation Passport
