“Decent for a night layover”

Arrived at 3 AM after suffering a Highway road closure and delays. What’s the only one there. However the Lowe’s next-door had quite a few RVs and Schoolies, many with generators running all night. Was too tired to care. Got a decent nights sleep.

I arrived about 2pm and asked the manager if I could stay the night. He said yes and if I wanted to I could pull the rig around the front of the store later on where it would be more visible. The area didn't look bad so I decided to stay in the RV area. While walking my dog I did see a hypodermic needle next to the fence which concerned me. I parked on the end so I could put my slide out (with permission) over the grassy area. I was debating moving to the front but it's right along I-10 and very noisy. Another trailer and camper van pulled in around sunset so I stayed where I was. After the traffic died down it was reasonably quiet and I slept well. The site was perfectly level and other than trash around the fence line it was clean. I would stay here again. I was in a 31 ft travel trailer.

This Cracker Barrel and the Walmart across the street are not safe locations. As a single, disabled female, I would not stay or visit again.
I arrived before dark and got downstacked for the night. The surrounding area looked a bit rough, but everything seemed fine. When the sun went down, out came the loud-booming cars, drug dealing (visible,) screaming/fighting/partying at the apartments behind me, and some guy who was hiding and picking up his beer behind the tree to the right of my rig before heading over to the hotel/apartments next door and returning to drink his beer in front of my rig.
I decided to brave the trek to the restaurant in my wheelchair. The food was excellent, and the employees were friendly. I gave three stars for this reason alone.
As soon as I got back, I put the wheelchair on the lift to be ready to leave, and locked it all up. I wasn't going to stay until I saw another rig pull in, and he made sure I was staying before he shut his rig off. I didn't get any sleep. Sometime in the night, another rig pulled in.
I left in the morning before the rain and went across the street to Walmart/Murphy for fuel. A man with a backpack blocked me from pulling into the pump, and then stepped back just enough to let me in. He was waiting for me when I exited the coach. He said, "I bet a big rig like that you gonna use a card. I got cash. I'll trade you your card for cash." After a curt "no," he walked over to his truck and a group hanging out behind the gas station. Another guy tried the same trick as I was leaving, but at that point I was mad enough to rip someone's head clean off, so he backed off. No, I will NEVER go back to that area.
The area near the interstate with Home Depot and Applebees looked much better, so perhaps ask to stay there.

This CB has 4 neat sites set well behind the restaurant which means I-10 noise is blocked somewhat. I couldn't hear anything except the generator of the rig in site 4. Very bright lights but no worse than the Walmart across the street. Lots of big gas stations nearby but no (free) dump station other than the ones at the rest/welcome areas some miles away. Just fine for a night especially considering the T-Mobile 5G signal (like Crawford Landing) was 420 down & 56 up.
