Lovely lakeside campground, but littered with beer cans and trash. We stayed in the primitive, non-electric side. Imagine our surprise when we woke to find out that there is no bathroom at all in that campground. Not even a pit toilet.

We stayed here for four nights while attending an event in the area. The sites were large but mostly open. A lot of sites had both water and electrical hookups. There were sites that had water views. The water level was down several feet while we were there but still was nice.

We stayed one night here on the way to Arizona. We arrived near sunset and left fairly early so we didn't really get to sample any amenities the park may have. We had a pull through site which was fairly level. There is little vegetation so there isn't a lot of privacy. The power box was on the wrong side if you enter the campground loop in a counter clockwise direction. The water was not yet turned on while we were there.
Cellphone coverage was decent and we had 62 over the air tv channels. The people camped here seemed to like to light up their campsites, which is always weird to me. We'd probably stay here again for an overnight, I don't know about longer stays.

Verizon signal varies from weak to strong depending on the loop, but regardless of strength it's a very slow data rate. You can check your email but you're not going to be working remotely or streaming. Sometimes it's reasonably fast but I wouldn't call it dependable. Sprint is perfectly usable at 4-10 Mbps down and 1.5-4.5 up. (With the Sprint/T-Mobile merger, it may very well be a T-Mobile tower I'm talking to.)
North (30 amp) and South (50 amp) loop sites are spacious and loosey-goosey as your can park wherever you want in the grass. The dump station is pretty far from the North loop, so if you're going to be using a sewer tote you'll want to be able to lift it into your truck bed for the journey. Bathrooms are also pretty far away, so plan accordingly.
Loops are bi-directional to accommodate having utilities on the correct side depending on whether you're on the inside or outside of the loop. Sites are all pull through with utilities on the far side of the site.
I had pulled into a South loop site but was immediately swarmed by small bugs and opted for a 30-amp North loop site. I've got the place to myself during the week (late March/early April), but reservations indicate it will be a madhouse over the weekend.
There is no external noise, so any complaints about noise would be dependent upon other guests. A state park on a lake near a major city can be assumed to have partiers on weekends.
On-site water is off until April 15 but you can fill at the dump station or vacant host site.
Coming from the west on 400, there is no signage until the actual park entrance so just trust your GPS. Google Maps did me right.

This campground was ok in our opinion. Sites are very open, you can definitely see all your neighbors. If you like to people watch then you might like it. Also, when we camped here, there was residual flooding from the weeks prior, so the lake shore was very dirty. However, the site was very clean and you had a choice in where to park your camper as there is no designated pad. You pretty much park it in the grass somewhere near the hookups.
