Did a walkin and read that C loop was best. Site was good but a bit muddy as lots of shade keeps it damp. Not much solar charging can be done. Quiet.
Amazing dog friendly beach within feet

A little expensive, but we had FHU (30amp) Sites aren't THAT spread out, but are separated well by the landscape.

A Loop has sites jammed together without any real privacy from what we could see, but is closed in the winter.
C loop was a bit more spacious with some privacy between sites. Closer to the ocean has less shade, while farther inland starts to get some shade. Yurts are in the back of the C loop (all in pretty close proximity to each other).
We did a quick drive through the D loop and it appeared to be similar to C.
No sites look over the ocean in any of the loops, but all are a just a short walk away from a beautiful long beach.
Nice enough restrooms with showers that we did not check out.
It was a nice quiet campground, but it was a very cold night (in the 20's) so most of the campground went to bed nice and early.

Facilities are in need of some updating, but they were generally clean. Sites were pretty small. The beach is immediately adjacent to the campground and very accessible -- but it is out of view due to a large erosion control berm.

Our spot was blocked with trees and bushes on the sides and back which was nice. Blocked a lot of the noise , but this is a big campground, lots of people with dogs, bikes, kids, etc., so not as quiet as others on the coast. Overall, very clean, short distance to the water, friendly staff and hosts, hot showers. Lots of spaces for tent camping, but call ahead in the summer.

This is a beautiful park about 15 minutes outside Tillamook in case of needed supplies or visiting Tillamook cheese factory. Park is very well kept per Oregon State Park standards. Miles of beach to explore. Fishing and shellfish harvesting galore.
Being an older park campsites for larger RVs and trailers are limited due to narrow driveways and bulk of the trailer sites perpendicular to the driveway. Most of the campground is tent sites. All hookup sites are very close together and therefore have little or no privacy.
C loop is forested, the others are mostly open. No sites have ocean views due to the embankment separating the campground and beach.
A nice place for those interested in beach and ocean access.

Super dog friendly and able to get away from lots of day use people down the beach. Restrooms and showers are clean. Everything from full hookup to dry camping to yurts. Recycling center, friendly staff. Amazing hiking trails right nearby. Also close to tillamook, which is great for supplies or a trip through the cheese factory for fresh cheese and ice cream. Easy day trips to most popular places along the coast. Crab fishing able to rent boats just up in nehalam bay. The campground is half reservable, half first come first serve. Rv sites have a paved landing. We keep coming back here time after time for a reason!

First this is not a state park to experience solitude...The park large with over 200 sites which include 13 yurts, 6 cabins, 34 full hook-up rv pads and 170 tent sites. With this many sites, you can assume you are close to your neighbors. We were there on a weekend and the park was packed. We recommend a mid week stay in the off season if you are flexible to really appreciate the harmonious blend of nature and recreation.
We agree with previous reviews that most of the sites are for tents and smaller rigs. And the inside roads are not very wide with some tight turns. But there were many 40' diesel pushers and large fifth wheels parked in over a third of the sites while we were there in late September. The sites we were in were over 55' long, more than enough space for a pusher and toad.
We stayed in a full hook-up site our first night, which was $2.00 more for the night. There are only 34 full hook-up sites and they are located under the trees within the inner loops. In hot weather, the shade of these sites would provide a lot of relief, but they were way too dark for us, so we moved to a dry site on a loop behind the dunes. No trees, but right on the sand.
The bathrooms and showers were pretty clean within the inner loop we were in, most likely because they were the newest in the park. Once we moved to an outside loop, we noticed a big difference in maintenance and upkeep.
There is a very easy nature walk within the park or you can walk or drive up to the Cape Lookout trailhead for a longer and more challenging hike. But you have the beach and miles of awesome beach combing.
