This is a basic place to camp and enjoy the area. The parking is informal and you have to be careful about the soft sand in places. The owner Shari had many good recommendations on places to see in the area. Cell service is limited in town but they have slow but usable wifi at the camp.

As you see from my photos, there is sufficient ocean views depending on where you camp on the property.
The hotel, La Bufadora Inn, which is mentioned on a cliff is separate from the camping area and there is no camping advertised at this place so not sure why anyone would assume camping was there esp. since there is a fish processing plant nearby.
Even though the campground is in town I felt safe there and everyyone there said they had no problems with theft. The availability of faucet water is questionable at times but it is due to the town itself rather than the property. There are plenty of small stores to buy water and food.

“Leña: noun. Woody material that is nearly impossible to purchase in Mexico, but (even in the desert) abundantly available to gather and transform into fire.”

"The owner is a piece of work," a local man tells us as we converse over the status of this campground. We had met her earlier, at a hotel she owns which overlooks a seagulldamn gorgeous point full of breaking waves and exactly what we were after. Instead, though space was aplenty just near the hotel, she sent us back to this parking lot on the other side of town.
Still near the water. But something about it just didn't feel great.
The current camp host met us and chatted us up, Mexican born but raised in the United States, his pristine English was a welcome chance at asking a host of questions we'd all been stockpiling.
Though almost beachfront, a small shack blocked complete ocean views. Turns out it's a hoarders shack and he won't sell. Hoarders in remote Mexico can afford to hold onto beachfront shacks, apparently.
The WiFi plodded along enough to post to Instagram, or check email, dropping randomly and often. The showers were hot, for about three minutes at a time. Wait fifteen and find your next three minute reward. There's a light switch in the bathroom you have to flick to start the hot water tank. Laundry is around back. A small library inside. Just walk in. There is no one on duty, per se. Baja is generally a free for all like that.
Make friends with the local stray dogs. Ask the vaquero riding his horse along the beach bareback if you can take a turn. Go to Kekos restaurant (turn left as you approach Pemex when leaving the park), you won't be disappointed.
And most of all, enjoy!

Mali Mish – Asuncion and Abreojos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
Took a week off of work so we could do some off-the-grid exploring. First stop was a little fishing village called Bahia Asuncion on the Pacific 120 miles off of Mexico Highway 1. We did not know what...
