I made a video to share what it looks like in October - kinda chilly :)
Decent fishing opportunities - I think a good number of people go hunting here as well. The camping site is basically a large field that has a power box. You have to call ahead to reserve the power box and get a key.

We used the vault toilets and almost passed out from the ammonia smell. I would recommend this lake more if the local community would take better care of the gem they have. Lots of cigarette butts and broken beer bottles around the campfire pits.

Just a few campers on a Friday in June.

The park road the the sites was very rutted, if you are low or not four wheel check it out first after the rain. Only one other van camper that came in, and a local fishing (very nice guy) we picked up the garbage and left it cleaner, no trash receptacles! Great for fetch and doggie swimming. Would definitely come back!!

Large grassy areas to camp and let the dogs roam. Several fire rings. We didn’t need to use restrooms as we have one in our van but the recreation area in general was clean and tidy. There are signs to contact the city “finance officer” if you want to pay to unlock the electric boxes. We have solar, didn’t have to use hookups. We were the only ones here except for a nice local man doing his morning walk. It was rainy so it was such a win to have grass everywhere instead of mud, especially with dogs. Would definitely stay here again for a quick night off the interstate. We like to avoid noisy rest stops.

Pit toilets, no facilities but a beautiful view. I guess there is electric if you call ahead but we didn't need it. Definitely worth the mile drive to get here on a dirt road. Pick your spot on the grass. Lake is nice. Only one other person here. Beautiful solitude.

No water but they do have a pit toilet (bring TP) looks nice from outside but toilet set for men in bad shape. For a small park they do offer a lot swimming, fishing play ground, horseshoe pit and picnic shelter. They have two electric sites but have to reserve them with the city and get a key from them $5 a day 5 day limit.
