The most level sites we have ever found. Now they would only drill a well. Great hiking trail!

There are 21 sites in this small campground, spaced away from each other. Great overnight and big rig accessible. Pit toilets, hiking trails, and not too far from gas and groceries. Also, located very near I-26, so great for travelers looking for a stop over. Spoke to a Ranger who stated they were getting ready to go to recreation.gov to reserve sites but plan to leave a few sites open for drop-ins. Great place to explore the horse trails and hiking trails and enjoy nature. Fire pits and picnic tables at each site.

Easy access of the highway and no issues with a 40' 5er. You can make the loop easily, maybe a couple small branches at 12-13' will brush the roof. Easy access of the highway and no issues with a 40' 5er. You can make the loop easily, maybe a couple small branches at 12-13' will brush the roof. Pulled in on a Saturday afternoon in March and there were still a couple sites that would accommodate us. $5 a night but $2.50 with our America the Beautiful Pass (yes, the regular one). Lots of horse campers here that cleared out on Sunday morning. I would expect that this time of year on a weeknight you'd have this place pretty much to yourself. There was one tarp-tent type setup that looked like it may have been there for awhile, but not sure - maybe they were abiding by the 14 day stay limit? Forest Service truck pulled through once. Nice dead-end road to walk on. There is an equestrian parking area nearby the campground that I'm not sure, but maybe could be used as overflow if you pay your fee. No power, water, or dump. Just a nice place to spend a night or two. Great Visible speed on the Verizon service.

To say the least this campground was loud and crowded with not much to see or do. $5 for the night with a pay box but I never saw any rangers coming through to check. Toilets were clean but no water source Every campsite did have its own fire ring and picnic table.

Tree lined campground. A little run down but in a quiet area four miles of I-26. The ground seems to get really muddy after a downpour.

We stopped here on our way to the SC coast for a quick overnight stay and it was perfect (better than a parking lot!)...there were only 2 other campers and it was very quiet but less than 4 miles from the interstate. There are no hookups, no dump station (2 vault toilet bathrooms). The sites are a little grassy but as far as we saw most were pretty level. There are 2 pull throughs and the rest back in sites. Fire pits, picnic tables, and nice space between each site. Our site (4) was one of the pull through spots. If you have the interagency pass, its only $2.50 otherwise $5 a night. We will definitely stay again if in the area.

We stayed in late December and although there were a few other campers here, it was dead silent and peaceful. You cannot beat the price either ($5/night, $2.50 with annual parks pass) Would definitely stay again!

The scenery is great and Baucombe Horse/Mountain Bike Trails are accessible right from the campsites. For $5/night($2.50 with NP Access Pass) this is an awesome Campground. On our first night, there was only one other occupied site on a Friday, the next night there were 3 filled campsites. It provided everything we needed for an incredible weekend.

But sites look easy to back into & level. 2 sets of pit toilets are fine. Self pay station. Lots of trees & shade. Trees are not really a problem as far as obstructions. The road in is a bit bumpy. Sites are almost natural but have been leveled. I say natural as some are grassy & not cut at this time.
