Overall Rating
Sites were set up very strange, and not level. Saw no staff to check in or if ya had issues. However, the views were amazing, and we spent little time at the site anyway. If you not picky, it’s great. If you’re used to a nicer type campground, probably not for you. We would stay again.

Minutes from town and the south part of the national park. With a little research and time reviewing the CG website, you should be well aware of what you’re getting yourself into at this location. Some of the sites are definitely peculiar, but if you’re looking for a home base while you’re adventuring in the national park, it’s a good option. We chose site 8 as it’s not as crammed in with the others. All sites are FHU. No host on site. We paid $45/night

Reserving and check-in are all done online. No one was there to check us in, just pull into your spot and set up. We had site 4. You can make it a pull-in, but our fifth wheel was fairly tipped when we went up and over the hump to get into the site. I would recommend instead doing a back-in for site 4 and anything east of it in tha... more

We had site 4. You can make it a pull-in, but our fifth wheel was fairly tipped when we went up and over the hump to get into the site. I would recommend instead doing a back-in for site 4 and anything east of it in that middle area. The 2 sites to the west of it could be considered the pull-thrus. The sites are very tight! When we had neighbors that week, they were about 2' from us with slides out. Definitely don't try to put out awnings!
Beautiful views from the campground! It is surrounded by Badlands mountains in a quiet, and peaceful valley except for a bit of road noise that isn't bad.
We had full hookups and no problem with the utilities.
Starlink gave us 90 down and 13 up. We had 3 bars on the Verizon phones (45/7) and 4 bars with the cell antenna (88/7). AT&T was 3 bars with the cell antenna (22/0.6).

Small sites with no tables, no room for camp fires, and outdoor sitting on the side of the road. Large rigs crowded in. Our neighbors had five dogs that yelped all night. No on site manager. The only reason for two stars and not one was that services worked well. If you want a campground with full services in Medora this is for you... more

The only reason for two stars and not one was that services worked well. If you want a campground with full services in Medora this is for you, but spend your time in the park and not in your camper.

This campground feels like your in the middle of the park! Mountain View’s all around. Easy to get into spot number 5. Some of the lots are in strange places. Full hookups but no bathroom on site. The spots are right on top of each other but I knew that when I booked it! The view outside my window is awesome but the view sitting under the awning is just another RV haha. Good spot and close to town! I can’t compare it to the other campgrounds around but it suits us just fine!

Strange parking next to a cabin, but no one in occupying the cabin.
Water, Electric & Sewer are present. No problems with any, other than the fact that we had to park about 15 ft away in order to level out unit. Not a big deal. We parked in front of the connections to prevent anyone from driving over them.
Wifi is weak in this location. We were able to use a hotspot to get better service.

Nice location for trip to south TR NP. No onsite check in as the owners/managers appear to live in a house a few hundred yards away. Beautiful location though with great hiking at Sully Creek State Park, right across the road..

Was a nice place to park while we explored Medora and TR National Park. Beautiful view. We were able to maneuver our 46' trailer into our site and other larger rigs were also present during our stay. The campground is managed remotely. We didn't have any problems with communication.
This is a short drive south of Medora downtown... just before the turn off for Sully Creek State Park.
Really happy with our stay.

This campground is only a mile and a half from downtown Medora. It has full hook ups, wifi, and amazing views. The sites are a little close, but so are the ones in town. We had no problem with the wifi and we did not hear our neighbors. If you need a picnic table, mini-golf, or a swimming pool, you will be disappointed. There ... more
This campground is only a mile and a half from downtown Medora. It has full hook ups, wifi, and amazing views.
The sites are a little close, but so are the ones in town. We had no problem with the wifi and we did not hear our neighbors.
If you need a picnic table, mini-golf, or a swimming pool, you will be disappointed. There is also no one on site to check you in.
If you want a quiet view close to Medora and Theo. Roosevelt NP, stay here. We will definitely be back.
