Nice trails around that we enjoyed. Private beach access for campers with beautiful white sands.
Ranger in the office was a bit of a stickler. Overall great experience!
If you’re needing your WiFi to work— this isn’t the place for you!

Way behind in reviewing... we stayed here for 3 nights in mid-February of 2024. Our site was decent - long enough to not have to disconnect, but the site in front of us was "right there". Some sites are much better than others! Price ok for FHU. Trails nice & I enjoyed the boardwalks.

Everything booked for next week or I’d stay another day or two. I’m on my way to Largo Florida, but I have four more nights to get there. Host was very friendly and gave me tips for making me feel better about paying $35 basically all I needed was a 20amp electric. About 15 miles off i10 and road was covered in water at creek just before park, although easily passable, host said expecting it to rise a little more tonight, but still be passable for leaving tomorrow.

This is our first visit to the area and we were blown away at how nice this park is! Only 30 sites in 2 loops, each site featuring FHU with clean gravel, picnic table, fire pit, clothesline, and grill. We stayed in 16 and had a corner spot with plenty of privacy. The hosts pick up trash from your site each morning as the dumpster is located in the day use area around the corner. Aluminum can recycling near the bathhouse is always a great find! The bathhouse was clean and stocked but no AC so a bit warm during our stay. No laundry but we didn’t need it yet so not a concern. The private beach at the river was pretty and the hiking trails were wonderful with lots to look at! Check in was a breeze and the hosts and rangers were very pleasant. One teeny tiny bar on both ATT and T-Mobile hotspot but once the day use closed we were able to stream easily. Several OTA antenna channels available. We had a GREAT time and will be back in the fall!

We arrived here December 1st to start our 4 month volunteering duties.
The Park has 30 sites that are all full hookups, level and stoned pads.
Park, bathhouses, beaches and day use areas are kept very clean.
The Park is about 10 miles in from Route 10 which makes it quite from highway noise.

Only spent one night, but wouldn't mind spending longer. Grills, fire-pits, picnic tables, restrooms with showers.
Verizon none to good.
AT&T fair to good.

The group in site 5 played music that the entire campsite could hear and talked loudly until midnight. Several campers screamed at them to turn off their “ damn” music! We stayed out of it. Though I think a polite request to quiet down might have had a more desired effect.

We would have liked to explore the trails more than we did however the weather prevented us from doing so. The park has beautiful white sandy beached on the Blackwater River. Enjoyed our visit very much and look forward to returning. There is an airport nearby that does helicopter training so we had helicopters flying over the park during the day except on the day that was raining. Very quiet at night. There were a lot of deer and birds. We had weak Verizon cell service.
