We’ve stayed here multiple times and have never had to smell sewer gas. Couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. Considered leaving but just closed the windows instead to get us through the night.

Easy in and out, friendly checkin, the premium spots were paved with patios and fire pits, others were level gravel. Clean and quiet. Scattered trees, we were able to get a good signal with Starlink.

There is a side for longer term use and another for overnights. The overnight side had unlevel gravel spots and aging electric boxes. The plugs moved in and out when you hooked up, which can lead to shorts or at least insecure connections.
Seemed pretty quiet. Good water pressure.

EVERYONE walks and runs thru your campsite all hours. I think my real take away is that they have cabins that circle the campers and maybe they don’t understand you shouldn’t— I wish the front desk would ask them nicely to respect campsites/walk around. If it was 1-5 people, whatever. But we’ve been here one night at I swear at least 30 people have passed thru. It doesn’t help that our neighbor has a blinding motion detector light so it’s gone off 30+ times past 10pm keeping my kids awake. Anyways. It’s ok if your cool but with visitors and sharing your campsite for $90+/night

The Yellowstone River is right there. Fairly easy access to downtown Billings.

We traveled with our 4 kids (ages 14, 8 and 5 year old twins) as our last camping trip of the season. I would've rated it higher, but because we went in October, the amenities were limited.
The campground was maintained really nice. I'd give it a 4/5. There was a beautiful mini-golf course, that we played endless rounds of. The park was new and clean. There was a pool and hot tub, but it was closed for the season. The store was very bare, really nothing left, again end of the season. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean. I had hot water the whole shower, though the pressure wasn't very high. The laundry facilities were great. Half of the campground was completely shut down because of the season. Many times the air would smell like pure sewage. The camp was next to the Yellowstone River. We fished and enjoyed the breathtaking views. There was a really nice dog park for people who need that type of thing. The staff was nice. The wifi was incredible!! Super fast and able to stream YouTube TV with no problems. I'd give it a higher rating if it were fully operational.
Our camp site was ok, I'd give it a 2/5. We had a back in, full hookup site. They're pretty level, but small. They included a fire ring, patio, and bench swing. The reason I rated it so low is because our site was next to a private residence and there was always people coming in and out. Many times WAY too fast, especially with little kids running around or riding their bikes.
All in all, I would try it again during the peak season and NOT in the site we were in. We still had a great time and would recommend the "first ever KOA" to anyone traveling to Billings!

“Koa”

We stayed August 2022. Our site was a pull through on grass with water and electricity. Close to the river though the cement wall restricts any view of the river. It was typically for KOA crowded. They did have a pool mini golf. We did not use. We did use bathrooms and shower both clean
