This RV park is in a great location and has beautiful oak trees throughout and a nice common area, little park, walkway and fire pit. However, they really cram too many rigs all over the place. Our “spot” was literally parallel to the front office, right up against it near the exit. It was weird. Also, there is ONE bathroom/shower room per gender so when I went to take a shower, it was occupied for whoever needed to use the bathroom during my shower. They really need new/additional bathroom facilities, but when they are that packed and raking in the dough, why improve?
No problem with cell service as you’re in town. WiFi was able to stream, which honestly is more important than anything referenced above for us. Would stay again.

Big Oak is an older park; build before awnings and slide outs. The sites are very close. The facilities are old, but well maintained. We lucked out and got a pull thru. They had several places set up with chairs around camp fire spots for socializing. Lots of trees, including the big one the park is named after.

Not a bad campground. toilet & shower in same room & there is one for each gender. We need a place to stay on the spur of the moment and it fit the bill.

We have friends in the Tallahassee area and wanted to meet up while passing through the area. We chose Big Oak based on the closeness to the city. Upon arrival check in was easy and quick and finding our site was easy. We were in a pull thru that was just big enough for our slides and awnings, but it was big enough. There are several pull thrus side by side that are for transient people like us, it appears most of the park is populated with full time or long term residents. Our spot was fine for our few nights stay. The park is pretty and clean, with lots of oaks trees, including the very large one in the center of park with its branches that reach to the ground creating a beautiful shaded place to sit. The trees caused our satellite to be "stymied," but the cable was ok, and some sites looked like they could get a signal. My AT&T phone had 2-3 bars and LTE, I didn't try Verizon. Park wifi worked occasionally. Overall, I would recommend this park if you are visiting the Tallahassee area.

We were a little hesitant not having an email confirmation, but were pleasantly surprised. It's mom and pop run, and they lead you to the sites. Most spots are gravel with concrete patios. The spots weren't exactly level, I had to shim up one side and I saw Class As in this back with their front wheels a foot off the ground. Everyone kept to themselves, but that may have been due to the weather. Our area could have been very crowded; the A/B sites are long pull throughs that get doubled up and share a center electric and sewer, but no one was ever in the spots directly next to us. It looked like they were great at accommodating overnighters. I had no problems working with my AT&T 4G LTE coverage; the RV wifi was overloaded and unusable like every RV park with wifi.
