Access is easy but slow down the road has some holes. Great campground close to lake and nice trail. Clean pit toilet, only water at site #15 loop b.

Lovely quiet campground. Perfect for us. A short walk down from our campspot was a gorgeous lake! Cold but beautiful!

It's at the end of C loop, with a creek running right beside and wilderness on 3 sides. Beartooth Bluff shows reds and whites above the lake, and a trailhead leads to higher mountain lakes, as well as deeper into the Absoraka Wilderness. Clean bathrooms and helpful camp host. Bugs were tolerable. Bear dense country (saw scat but no fur).

First off, there are mosquitoes here all summer. Thousands of them. Bring a screen tent and bug spray or be prepared to be completely miserable fighting them off from the moment you step out of your car. Secondly, camping season up here can be short - 4th of July to Labor Day if we're lucky.
The views from the lake are amazing and the camp is very quiet given its remote location at the top of the Beartooth Pass. Camp can fill up early in the day during summer weekends so get here early. Most of the sites can accommodate medium-sized RVs (25' and under), a couple of sites in the first loop can take on larger RV's (Class A's). There is a picnic area and boat ramp adjacent to camp as well. There is a camp host on duty. Picnic tables, bear boxes and fire rings available in each site. Pit toilets, water pumps and garbage service available too. Overall a nice, clean, quiet camp and high on my list of places to stop for a night along the Beartooth Highway.
