Camping on the beach can indeed be a hit or miss experience, but Bay Point Landing has managed to create a little slice of outdoor luxury. With its thoughtful layout and comprehensive amenities, it's a far cry from the all-too-common parking lot scenario. The indoor facilities cater to both children and adults, ensuring that everyone has something to enjoy, rain or shine. Indoor amenities included a cash less laundry mat, indoor lap pool, exercise room, Kids den, a game room and another area for adults where happy hour was held including a local musician. The outdoor amenities seem just as considerate, including a playground for the kids, a bowling green and a dog wash with soap provided. The restrooms were clean and the shower where private rooms included the shower, sink and a toilet. Some sites are right next to the bay which did have a sewer smell once a day for about 30 minutes. Not sure if it was when the tide came in or out. We were in site 37 and had good internet access. Be careful following GPS instructions. Both RV Life and google sent us in the wrong direction off the 101. Follow the instructions provided by Bay Point Landing.

Stayed in site #5, drive in; bay facing with our 38’ Super C + TOAD. The sunset on night #1 sold me, it was amazing! Sites are decent sized so you don’t feel stacked against your neighbors. Stay away from Site #1 - they need to cut the natural beach grass as it’s next to the club house/buildings and with the grasses you DO NOT have any outside space. We were originally assigned there and we requested a move since we have two dogs and it just wouldn’t have worked!
The bay fronted sites have easy access to the “beach” - while there is sand and it is nice to walk in/along the shore the bay’s vegetation (looks like cooked Spinach, lol) does smell when you are down there at low tide and it’s wet. You can’t walk more than a 1/2 - 3/4 mile in either direction. I did enjoy sitting on the sand with a book. Only thing that would have made it better was if it was the “actual” Pacific facing beach vs. the inland bay. We did know what we were getting ahead of time, so no surprise.
Let me tell you about the showers! Located at either end of the park in a bathhouse/laundry facility (plus one shower near the fitness center’s bathroom by registration) they are huge! Nice large counter with sink to hold your items, plus multiple hooks to hang things, a stone bench outside the shower to actually sit and get dressed, plus a toilet in the shower room as well a large walk in shower with shower bench. It was ten star for me as I like to have room for my “stuff”. Nice to not to have to use the rigs shower when this one was so clean and large! My only complaint would be the trash and recycle center is at either end of the park near the laundry - seems a bit far to carry trash (I had a lot after a grocery trip to the local Walmart) but a worker in a golf cart saw me and came right over and took it for me - super nice. Staff here is fantastic.
Club house has indoor heated to 85 degrees saltwater pool (I haven’t used it), fitness center, kids lounge, adult lounge, outside gas fire pits/seating and a reception/store (they will deliver to your site anything you “order” from the store (no charge for delivery). All look fantastic. Food truck comes Friday - Sun nights; we are looking forward to enjoying that. Dairy Queen a couple of blocks south right outside the entrance (that will be a stop for a soft serve before we leave). State Parks (Cape Arago, etc.) are less than 10 miles south of the entrance in Charleston, OR. Worth a drive out there, beautiful beach at Sunset Bay Park (take a picnic).
If you don’t have a RV (or if traveling with others who don’t) they do rent fully stocked Air Stream trailers here as well as small cottages - all look very nice and clean; nice set ups. No playground for kids and in fact, I’m not seeing many at all (but I think school just started). Makes the park really quiet.
We will be staying a week (originally booked for 4 nights online; found more was available once we got here. Looking forward to doing a lot of sitting, reading and some excursions. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Probably from bay which makes shellfishing on beach at camp iffy. Otherwise, pleasant with fresh appearance architecturally. Coos Bay, N. Bend blighted. Few, if any restaurants beyond fast food. A couple pubs. Some good hikes. Ocean mainly small bays. This is an upscale park in a sad area.

“Very Nice Park And Amenities ”
Reviewed 4/29/2024
When pulling into this park the surroundings are iffy but once you turn into the park all of that goes away. This resort is top notch! Sites are spacious, and views are awesome. The only issue was the laundry facilities the front loaded machines smelled of mildew and were dirty inside the lip of the machines. We would definitely go back!

This was our first time in this park, located on Coos Bay (the Bay, not oceanfront); we've already made reservations for a return visit. One of the nicest parks we've stayed in in our six years of traveling the West! It's very large, with not only modern park models but an Airstream rental park as well. The many sites are very large (both back-in and pull-through), immaculately clean, with new hookup pedestals. Each site is marked with a lighted metal post. There a four modern, connected hospitality buildings housing reception/store, a heated indoor saltwater pool, both kids’ and adults’ lounges, and a workout room. There are multiple bathroom/shower outbuildings, all immaculate. Staff are friendly and helpful, with helpful local sights/services handouts available. The park makes a nice base for exploring the Coast to the South, which terminates in Cape Arago State Park, with views of many seascapes, each populated by vociferous sea lions! Have fun here; it's a delightful surprise! M&J, Bend, Oregon

Backing in from passenger site is an interesting design choice. Always a bit more challenging. Especially as a newbie and solo traveler; like I am. But took less than 3 tries to park the trailer, since there is so much room between sites and on the road.
I would stay here when in Coos Bay again.

Well planned out RV resort with good sized spaces and amenities. Great for dogs as the beach is right there and can let them off leash while on beach. Dog bags throughout, although no fenced dog run unfortunately. Clean and well maintained facilities. Food truck there on weekends.
