The CG is clean, quiet, and beautiful.
This is a NFS campground so no hookups at all. The roads are all paved and I had no trouble getting our rig in. Our site, 19, was spacious and reasonable level.
T mobile is 0 bars. However I was able to run my Starlink dish by setting the dish on the lake shore.
All in all a great CG. Would stay again.

There are no hook ups but potable water and garage service are available. Site had picnic table and fire ring and offered Senior Lifetime pass discount. Shady and not too buggy, we wandered Songbird trail within the CG area and had a great stay.
Lake Superior beaches were close by. We had “dump service” for free as registered camper at Bay Furnace CG. Camp host was impeccable.

We went to Pictured Rocks while we stayed here and did the boat cruise. It was worth it for the views. We got our first pastie at Muldoon's.
There was no cell signal here and too many trees for starlink.
There was no dump station or water fill but there was a water spigot by the dumpsters for jugs.

One of the best campground experiences I’ve had. Lots to offer, especially if you have kids. There’s a dock and a little sand to do water activities. The sites aren’t all level, but do have power and fire pits. There’s solid WiFi near the office. The best part is the showers!! Really great and memorable experience.

Most sites are very shaded, not good for solar though. No hookups of any kind. Pit toilets, we did not use. No sinks or showers. There is potable water as you enter where you can fill your tank but you have to find somewhere else to dump. On the way in, we dumped at the Bay Furnace Campground on the outskirts of Munising. No additional cost as we were registered for NFS Au Train Lake Campground. Otherwise I think you have to pay $5. On the way out, headed west, we paid $5 to dump at Marquette Tourist Campground.
There was a nice birding trail which we did not go on due to recent rains and muddy conditions. You can walk to the nearby boat launch. Nearest major towns are about a half hour east and west.

We are 35' and have solar and the sitet brought in enough sunlight to charge devices, run lights, make coffee and watch TV that we did not have to run our generator. Only negative is that these around us had generators so we heard them every day for a few hrs. People over all were very friendly and we would definitely come back when in the area.

Reservations are now available at recreation.gov for 20 sites throughout the campground. The sites are large, well-spaced, and under tall trees. The Songbird trail and observation deck over the lake are not to be missed. The campground hosts were friendly and had the largest pile of firewood I've ever seen. Two water faucets were located on the side of a brown shed in the center drive between the two loops. Access was paved the entire way to the campground. Less than 30 minutes to Pictured Rocks Cruise boat dock. Sites were large and sometimes irregularly shaped. Some had arbitrary placement of the fire ring and picnic table relative to level parking. Some sites had tree stumps in awkward locations. But otherwise the sites were well maintained and clean. Enjoyed camping here.

Arrived 7/4/17, left 7/7/17.
Sites are nice and large, but there was a lot of standing water in the woods that didn't go down in the 4 days we were there. Mosquitoes were bad; SO glad we brought burning coils and plenty of bug spray! Our site had a good-sized pool of water on one side, although luckily the site itself was not muddy. NOTE: Site 14 was grassy & muddy (like 32, it might be one to avoid if it's rainy). Sites alongside Au Train Lake were much drier.
Bring your own water. Sign at the spigot said to get water at Bay Furnace Campground which is a bit of a drive. The federal website does not state the non-working water spigot in the Alert section.
Sites are pretty level, and the road through the campground is paved. There's a nice observation platform to view the lake, and a hiking trail. The road to the boat launch is right next to the campground. We could have put our kayaks in at our site though, had we been able to get a lakeside site.
Our phones had no service at all (AT&T); service didn't come back until driving into Christmas, MI, on the way to Munising.
Vault toilet house was fairly clean, somewhat smelly but stocked with toilet paper (camp host on site).
Nice long picnic table, lantern pole and large fire ring with swing-off grate are provided.
I put we would stay here again, but it would probably be if there was nothing else available. We'd plan ahead and reserve at Bay Furnace Campground, which was not as densely wooded and closer to Munising and Pictured Rocks.
Noise was 3 star due to the generators used and road traffic to the boat launch (site 32 backs up to the road).

Beautiful, large private sites at this campground. You can hardly see your neighbors through the trees! Park has a mix of reservable and non-reservable sites. Sites do not have power or water, but have picnic tables and fire rings. The campground has a dumpster and there are several clean pit toilets throughout. There is a boat ramp and a nice 2-mile loop hiking trail. It is a half-hour trip to get to a decent-sized town (Munising) for a grocery store.
Verizon speeds were very good, but AT&T was non-existent, even with a booster.
