Getting here was part of the fun. Lots of different terrain and scenery. Lots of curves & switchbacks. Fun in our 24' Fuse. Camp Ground was mostly empty on a Wed. Night in Mid June. Gravel sight was level. Just used electrical, although water and sewer were available. Clean and well maintained. Quiet and relaxing. No cel... more

We really liked this campground. It was clean & quiet. The parking area was pretty level and our coach level very quickly. But the picnic table and fire ring area at F01 needs to be leveled. Camp host makes regular rounds through out the day. We are in a 36Ft coach so didn't need to use the showers or bathrooms. But the wife took a ... more
We really liked this campground. It was clean & quiet. The parking area was pretty level and our coach level very quickly. But the picnic table and fire ring area at F01 needs to be leveled.
Camp host makes regular rounds through out the day. We are in a 36Ft coach so didn't need to use the showers or bathrooms. But the wife took a peek in the ladies shower/restroom facility and she gave it her approval.
One thing to be aware of. While this campground is easy to access and has sites ranging from 50amp full hook up to primitive tent sites. It is still a remote location that is 26 miles from Hepnner, 29 miles to Spray. So if your idea of camping is hitting the local stores, Restaurants, Museums or touristy shops. Then you will be disappointed.
If you want to have a quiet getaway to relax and unwind with lots of nature, bird watching (we saw 22 types of bird at this campground) and saw Elk and a Beaver nearby. or hit the trails on foot, SUV or ATV/UTV. (Morrow County OHV park is just 6 miles south on Or. 207) Then you will love this place.
As we live only two hours from this campground. This will be our go to place to have a relaxing camping experience.
There was plenty of room for our 36Ft class A coach in any of the full hook up sites. And likely room for an even bigger coach.
ZERO cell service, No camp WiFi and the full hook up sites have big Ponderosa pines and we could not lock on a satellite. Which was a good thing in the end. Never even turned on the TV during our 6 day stay.

We stayed here in October 2017. There was not an on-site host at that time, but the host from the ORV park up the road comes through occasionally. We stayed here in October 2017. There was not an on-site host at that time, but the host from the ORV park up the road comes through occasionally. Our site sat high up on the hill, so we had a great view of the park. Full hookup with waster, sewer, and power.
The sites are spaced nicely and there is also a cute A-frame cabin rental there.
Seems like the park is often used by hunters, with obvious signs of hanging posts and warnings signs for hunters.

Great peaceful campground and park less than 2 hours from Kennewick, Washington. Be sure to stock up on necessities and gas in Lexington or Heppner as there is not anything close by. Camp host sells wood and propane. Hot shower with good water pressure, by donation (not coin op). Flush toilets by camp host/playground. Trout pond for ki... more

Not all of the fire rings have grates, so bring a camp stove or bbq. Sites range from very primitive to full hook up. We have Sprint and we had NO cell coverage from just outside of Heppner and no coverage at all in the campground.
