Effective August 1, 2020, overnight camping on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) with designated primitive camping areas is permitted. Camping in self-contained campers or primitive tent camping is allowed but electricity, water, restrooms, and shower facilities are not provided.

Overall Rating

It is steep and rocky but it is doable in a minivan or car. We were in a 4x4 converted ambulance so we had no problem. There was a few other people that drove by. There’s also an elk viewing area up at the top. One small fire ring. No water and no facilities here. There is a beautiful view of the sky for Starlink. I did have 3-4 bars of Verizon Extended LTE. I’d stay here again if in the area. It is off the beaten path though.
