The nearby construction (May 2024) makes it appear the site is inaccessible. It’s open - you just turn left on the gravel approach next to the construction area. Free and easy.
Spacious, tree filled sites. Gravel sites but relatively level. We loved that they’ve added a water fill and dump station here so you don’t have to go to the Game Lodge campground. Great affordable city park about 5-miles off I81. Just outside town. Open field with decent sized campsites offering water and 30/50 electric service. We would stay here several nights and will add this to our list of campgrounds to stop at while in transit.
The price above reflects the monthly rate of $695 divided by 30 days. The nightly rates are $65 and $75.
The Park is kept very clean by full-time maintenance people. The management has fairly strict rules but is very reasonable and flexible if you have a special need. The people in the office are friendly and helpful.
