We stayed here October 24-30. We hadn't planned to go to the Grand Canyon thinking it would be too cold and potentially snowy, but new friends along the way convinced us it was doable. We checked for camping availability about 4 days before we wanted to be there and Trailer Village could accommodate us. It was easy to hike or bike from the campground and it was very convenient to go back mid day or mid afternoon to regroup before sunset activities. We had elk wandering through the campground each morning, and entertainment from a raven who stole and old labrador retriever's tennis ball (he got it back). So Trailer Village was pretty entertaining in and of itself. We biked through Mather Campground mid stay and decided when we go back again we will stay there because we liked the camping ambience and found access was just as convenient from there. Think Trailer Village = RV park, Mather = camping.

This is the best place for RVers who want full hookups IN the Grand Canyon NP. Elk roam through everyday! Gas and groceries are expensive in the area. Stock up before getting to the park! Worth the $$$. Book months ahead of time. I worked in the mornings fine with ATT hot spot. Verizon cell service is great too.

Very close to the Grand Canyon rim and lots of walking/biking trails. There is a shuttle stop right at the entrance (easy walking distance from any site) that will take you all around the park. Grocery store is also very close.
We are looking forward to returning.

The location is the best thing about this park. Other things not so much. Not all sites are paved and the gravel one we got was pretty uneven making it hard to level. Check in was easy and the cost wasn't bad for being right in the Park. It was easy to walk to the Rim and other places in the park.

Really nice to stay in Grand Canyon with full hookups. Great for families. Sites are basic but short walk to visitors center and canyon.

We paid a lot to hook up here to have the most uneven surface we’ve stayed at our whole trip (including the free camp sites). We also thought we were paying to have such close access to the shuttle services but the largest one that goes from the campgrounds out is currently not operating which would have been nice to know before agreeing to that price. You can camp for free down the road and have a three minute drive in which would be much more worth it.

If you're looking for the bike trail from the Trailer Village Campground, go all way to the back of the campground between streets a "O" snd "P."
Allow for a one hour plus wait at the entrance to the park. If you arrive at trailer Village Campground after 5 PM, you will have to check in at Yavapai Lodge at Market Plaza.
Service and food amenities were very limited throughout the park. Access to many facilities were also closed, i.e., Desert view Tower. Bring your own food snd supplies as the offering is limited.
AT&T service with a cell booster was 1 bar and low data. Luckily, Verizon voice and data was 3+ bars and good data.

They did not honor the 10% Good Sam Discount and applied some bogus $5.40 charge after check out. Called them and they denied there was any additional charge and could not help me.
