We stayed here for ten days while visiting the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The office building is the first building on your left as you pull in. The campground has two rows of back-in sites along the southern and eastern edges of the park, while the other three rows of sites are pull-throughs. All of the roads within the campground and the sites have gravel surfaces, with strips of grass and mulch between most sites. All sites have picnic tables and cable hookups. Some sites have an adjacent tree tall enough to provide shade: seemed like most of the sites in the middle row of pull-throughs had at least one tree. No sites were completely shaded. The location of the hookups vary: our site (49), in the middle pull-through row, had the hookups near the front, while other sites had them closer to the middle or the rear.
All of the amenities are located near the front of the campground. The office building contains a small convenience store, a laundry room, and men's and women's bathrooms with key code access. In the road between the southern row of back-in sites and the southern ends of the pull-through sites is the propane refill station, a pet wash enclosed in a small shack, and two dumpsters. Just north of the office building is a gym with a variety of exercise equipment and a TV. Across from the office building (on the east side of the campground) are two shaded outdoor seating areas around fire pits and a stylish two-story barn-shaped building with a hangout area on the bottom floor and table games (ping-pong, pool, foosball) on the top floor. Adjacent to the barn building is a playground, a single basketball hoop above a concrete playing surface, a horseshoe pit, a small mini-golf course, and an astroturf lawn with a set of duckpins that resembles an oversized ground-level pool table (never discovered what the actual game was).
The enclosed dog park is next to the mini-golf course in the southeast corner of the park. The park has a dirt and grass surface, a bench to sit on, and string lights that provide some illumination, but you'll still want to bring a flashlight at night. You can also walk your dogs on-leash in the stretch of grass between the eastern edge of the campground and the train tracks for the Grand Canyon Railway.
In terms of cell service, the best bandwidth I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna showed 114 Mbps down and 15 up, and other than very occasional drops lasting a few minutesI had no problem working and streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 120 down and 13 up. I did not get a chance to try out the campground WiFi or cable connection.
The Grand Canyon Railway only passes by two to three times a day, and never later than 10pm. But there are also commercial railway tracks enclosing the campground on three sides, and road noise from I-40 and from the small road in front of the campground. So it's not the quietest campground.

This appears to be a no frills, gravel sites and weedy grass (?) at each site. We would use again for an overnight stopover.

Everyone We Talked To Was Super Friendly. The Campground Is Very Quiet And Clean/Maintained And Honestly Traveling Around Here Looks Like The Best Around. The Train Didn’t Bother Us And It Was The Perfect Distance To The Grand Canyon Too. Overall Very Happy With Our Stay And Would Definitely Stay Again!

Bad camping experience - someone poked a hole in my camper last night. When I pulled in last night about 7:30 I parked behind the camper and I know for a fact the hole was not there. Aggravating, but not the end of the world. I told the front desk at #railsidervpark and the front desk said sorry and they’d send someone over to take a picture. I just wanted extra security tonight. I wait for over 30 minutes and wave down a worker who says the park owner wants to chat with me. Park owner pulls up and was immediately agressive. In my face agressive. Said he’d never had a problem in 30 years, how dare I complain, and I just wanted him to pay to fix it. I said, “No, not at all. Just wanted him to know.” He threateningly says that since I’m going to complain he’s going to call the police. Ok and…this is supposed to scare me? Call them. Neighbors are coming over to look and telling me it looks like a bullet hole. Owner’s wife/co-owner comes over and said she pulled all the video feed from three security cameras and there was nothing seen (hours of footage checked from three cameras in 20 minutes?). She’s as verbally aggressive as her husband. Accuses me of trying to get money. I very clearly state no I do not want that. So she says, “Then what DO you want?” Me, “An apology from your husband for scaring me.” Her, “That’s all?!” Me, “Yes”. Her, “I’ll tell my husband and he can decide if you’re worth an apology or not.” I tell her I don’t feel safe and I’m probably leaving. She says to call her and let her know and leaves. Police come and are super nice. Could not tell me for sure if a bullet caused the hole or not. Talked about how weird the hole location was. Gave me a report. I told them I did not feel safe when the owner’s wife came back. Police said they understood. So I packed up and left. On the road now. #1 rule as a solo female traveler - NEVER stay where you don’t feel safe. The owners scared me - not the deliberate hole.

Very nice park with all the services. Good location with access to town and interstate. Good staff and very clean showers. Slight road and train sound but not enough to wake us up. Many long term users and large rigs. Our 20 ft trailer was a midget among big rigs but no issues.

Rocked sites that were level with a picnic table & adequate services. Decent space between sites. Minimal shade. An unusual amenity was an indoor dog spa were you can bathe & even dry your furry friends! Laundry is small but adequate with 4 washers & 4 dryers.
Mail & packages can be sent here & they were more than willing to hold the ones that arrived before we did & even one that came after we left.
I usually don’t give 5 stars to campgrounds without paved roads/sites but this one gets the 5th star because of such great service!

We arrived a day after a snow storm and got stuck in the driveway. The owners were very helpful to pull us out and get us into a site for the night. They also plowed the snow so we would have an easy time getting out in the morning. Very clean showers and washroom. Nice sized site. Very friendly and would stay here again.

I tried 2 days to make a reservations and no answer. Kept getting answering machine and left 3 messages. No call back. The answering machine said they had availability after Sept. 27th and I was trying to make reservations for the beginning of Oct. The website has no way of making reservations online so you are at the mercy of calling. Good luck!
